On tap at Prescott, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out light roast and dry cocoa powder. Flavour brings out chocolate upfront, followed by medium roast and a little coffee. A little jagged and messy, but works okay. djd07 (16289) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 11, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast and chocolate. Medium mouth, rich malt, roast, chocolate, light dry finish, very good. hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 7, 2008
Growler acquired in trade with Sparky27 (thanks!). Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, roast, chocolate, and some smoke. Tastes of chocolate, light roast, earthy, and a light coffee finish. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 2, 2011

I am guessing this is what was poured at the AZ strong fest under a different name? It poured a super dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is all chocolate here. Tons of chocolate syrup and a light roasted flavor light up the tongue. I liked it.

Minerals and vegetals battle it out within the distraught raisins and molasses of this diseased, and usually - probably - well roasted Porter.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A ring of foam surrounds the dark brown.
-The finish is relatively dry; then again, it’s hard to tell if this was intentional.<br<
-This bottle was only a couple of months old...
-Pickled tartness eerily smirks at the lost roastiness.
Pour on tap at the brewery, brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, roast, hints of earth into a bit of yeast, touch of coffee with a slight dark fruit note. Taste was a mix of cocoa, roast, coffee into some caramel, touch of earthy tones in a slight dark fruit, finishing sweet, slightly roasted. Some fruit aroma. Mid brown coloured and a little rich on the palate with a dry chocolate roast finish. Ibrew2or3 (8912) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 2, 2014
On tap at the brewpub in Prescott where it pours with a nice mahogany looking body that has deep red edges and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweetness mixed with chocolate and caramel malts as well as a thin ribbon of dark roasted maltiness. The taste delivers malts and a slight molasses sweetened dark roasted maltiness as well as a pleasing layer of chocolate. It then picks up sweetened coffee and a dash of brownie laced with a wafer thin layer of black licorice. This is a nice robust porter where the above average sweetness is balanced nicely by the roasty malt bill. Braudog (6898) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JAN 9, 2005
This is one of numerous ratings that I have found disappeared from my RateBeer inventory after comparing my lists. I don’t recall it as very good, so I’m rating it meiocre just as a placekeeper .. don’t take my word for it.
