Maris Otter pale malt combines with crystal and caramel malts to create our full-flavoured best bitter. Traditional English hop varieties, Challenger, Goldings and Northdown, impart an excellent full-bodied character.

Cask (St Aldates, Oxford) - Amber in colour. Sultanas, caramel and dried apricot in the aroma. Fruity taste with sultanas, raisins and caramel standing out.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear amber beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Minerals. Light and sweetish malts, toffee - caramel. Tangy fruits. Floral dry crisp finish. Nicely crispy.

Cask at The Beehive. Pours clear dark orange with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast and caramel malt, earthy and woody hops with dates. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Cask, Corn Exchange, Leicester. Golden brown and a bit murky. Aromas are weetabix malts with raisins, lemon and a bit of banana. Bready yeast with earthy ripe apple and pear. Flavours are sweet malts with sweet and sour apple. Woody and earthy with a tart finish and background chocolate. It grew on me.
