Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a cap of a white foamy head that dissipated at an even pace. Sly lacing.
The aroma was all about the nuts, but mainly sweet. Some roastiness but even that seems a stretch.
The flavor smoothly leads with the sweet nutty malts. Fully sweet malty aftertaste and sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sly sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation feels good.
Overall, as a brown ale, it somewhat does the trick. Aroma seems to lead to one side a bit much. Bockyhorsey (2638) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUN 8, 2005
Sampler, This one is went down smooth. Had a nutty aroma and nutty flavor. Was little rich which most likely gave it that smmothnees on palate. Braudog (6833) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 16, 2004
Deep woodsy beer, dark and warm. Includes a nice nutty complexion with sweet malt edges. Pretty good brown ale.
