For the style, it is fairly solid. If you are comparing it to Dark Lord, it sucks. It is pretty typical, straw colored, grain smells and flavors. However, the lack of skunk makes it more drinkable. Easy to drink, light, and perfect for treking through the jungles of the Dominican Republican, or just laying on the beach. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - NOV 20, 2008
rating based upon one bottle and a bunch of draft pours in the dominican. clear golden in color with a medium white head and active carbonation. Aroma is mostly grainy- with some hay and light corn. Taste: very easy drinking, lightly grainy with a touch of hop bitterness and mild maize. Light bodied, actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Not too bad when you are on the beach on a hot day. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 30, 2008
Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a golden yellow. Aromas of grass, malts, and a touch of citrus. Flavor is grainy with a touch of hops. Still better than most american pale lagers. Get rid of the green bottles. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - OCT 28, 2008
Bottles @ Aruba in Ft Lauderdale. Carribean styled lager. Light to medium golden color. Little aroma some limey citrus taste & aroma. Very drinkable. Big improvement over Corona gary07734 (500) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2009 A decent european style lager, clean crisp with a hint of hops, crisp finish without that awful metallic taste in many of it’s compatriots. Reasonable.

Bottle, can.Light hops, light malt,a little skunky. I drank at least 50 of these in the Virgin Islands,ok there in the heat but I would not buy here in Michigan. I deem it drinkable but not special at all. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Sample from a bottle. Clear gollden pour with bubbly white head. Grassy metallic corn/grain notes. Cardboard and skunk. Better after drinking a bit, but hit hard at first and did not give a good initial impression. Also overly carbonated. I’m sure it’s infinitely better when consumed on the shores of the Dominican Republic. douglas88 (9622) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Bottle thanks to daknole. My first beer from the Dominican. Pours a crystal clear golden hue with a small white head that quickly goes down to nothing. Sweet malt notes with some grassy and citrus notes also. The flavor is pretty basic; smooth and semi-sweet malts, some light hops, especially in the finish, which has some mild bitterness and lots of bubbly carbonation. Decent. Bottle. The green bottle was not encouraging, and sure enough, the aroma and flavor was dominated by a skunkiness. A little sweetness in the malt, and a slight note of grassiness poked through the skunkiness. Pale yellow with a fizzy head. Rather ordinary fizzy yellow beer. comquest (10) - Palm Coast, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2008
12-ounce longnecks in Atlanta. A light, refreshing Caribbean lager that goes down easy on a hot, humid day. Nothing remarkable about it, but the closer you are to a beach the better this stuff gets.
