Wow... when you drink this in lieu of the water there, i guess it wouldn’t be long before you’d try a bottle. I had this over my New Year’s trip to DR. It was a harsh lager, much in line with my mouth memory of a Heineken. A little grain taste (malt) but nothing much else. Very fizzy over carbonated head and bitters depending on if it was fresh and how it was stored and transported. Um, well, at least I had it in the country of origin. UPDATED: JUN 15, 2017 Straight from the cold can on our Champagne Catamaran cruise from St Thomas to St John. Great beer out on the water. Nothing amazing but more malt and slightly more bitterness that your typical Caribbean lager. rodenbach99 (4678) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 19, 2007
Bottle. Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, grain, toasted, light hoppy, hop-flowers, dust. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Only beer on tap on vacation in the Dominican Republic. Pours a gold colour with decent carbonation and average white head. Nose is better then presidente light but still not good. Very corona like skunky smell. Taste is very mild pils, and very watery. Almost no mouthfeel whatsoever. Overall dissapointing, if it wasnt served on a beach by the ocean, I wouldnt have had more then one.

I totally forgot about this.....which is the story pretty much..I think half of Mexico and the Dominican Republic also forgot what they were drinking...Pale, watery, grass tinged and worthy of forgetting! BeerandBlues2 (14027) - Escondido, California, USA - NOV 23, 2007
Bottle. Pours sparkling yellow with a small, frothy, white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of corn. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness; very clean yet bland. Pours a crisp golden color with a skunky smell. Tastes very watery...I added a lime...and that helped a little bit. MaliMisho (215) - East Meadow, New York, USA - NOV 10, 2007
This was an OK beer. If I were to rate it compared to other pale lagers it is good, but for beer in general, its not that thrilling. DaveB (73) - Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 5, 2007
Bottle at Talk of the Town, Grand Case, St. Martin. Smooth start slight aftertaste, nothing unpleasant. Close to Caribe, Waddadli, Amstel Bright and the rest of the Caribbean brews. Very good very cold on a Caribbean hot day. All day.
