UPDATED: FEB 14, 2007 Pours a clear yellow with a thick off-white head, grassy aroma, fizzy body, starts and ends lightly bitter. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - APR 22, 2003
Had this bottled at Cuba Libre in Phila. I had this before and if I knew it was going to be $6 I would have drank water instead, anyway, would have had more flavor. A hohum no flavor beer from the Dominican. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - MAR 6, 2004
A very boring vegetable oil appearance, with a little bit of grainy soda head. Lots of adjuncts in this one. The flavor has a nice grassy hop bite, but still seems unbalanced, as if something is missing. beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 18, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2004 Hm, a Dominican beer, a first for me I think. Has a distinctively urban taste, hard to define exactly what that means, but it’s urban. Harsh aftertaste, light red-gold color. Bottle says " pilsner-style", but tastes doubtful... I could be wrong. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - DEC 5, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2004 On tap: Light malty, skunk, and corn. Pale yellow with a white head. Okay retention. Lightly sweet up front with a skunky corn hop finish. Slightly better than the Bohemia Especial. Very similar to Miller Lite. Much better from the bottle than on tap.

This bottled brew marked Dec 29,2003, poured a large sized head of foamy white colored mostly lasting finely sized bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body. The aroma contained grassy and malty notes. The mouth feel was tingly and crisp with an astringency in the aftertaste. The flavor contained the same astringency with a slight malt background. Over all a beer I’d skip. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - APR 11, 2005
This smells like candy corn with a dash of cotton candy. Yellow with a disappearing head, its carbonation soon vanishes as well. Light mouthfeel, watery, hints of caramel and hops, it’s hard to believe this has a 6% ABV... which is the only thing this beer has going for it. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 8, 2006
Bottle. Pale golden colour with a small white head. sweet malty, straw aroma and taste. Light body with a sweet light dry finish. Boring. BREWMUSKCLES (2671) - New Jersey, USA - APR 25, 2007
the dominican equivelenet of rheingold. only the "gold" is better. the dominican republic is such a beautiful place with very beautiful people... they can afford to drink a crappy beer. hey, you can’t have everything! biznizness (1128) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 21, 2007
Just another island’s version of a crappy pale lager. Blah. That about says it all. You pretty much know what this beer is all about, no sense in getting into the gory details.
