2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
$2 can at Frietkoten Belgian Fries & Beer. I admit. I kind of liked it. Slightly sweet adjuncty smell, yes. But the pour is golden yellow with a respectable bubbly head, looking better than a lot of the pissy American lites. The label clearly mentions "refined corn and sugar," so it’s not hiding its adjuncts. Yes, there is some corn sweetness, but with a matching bitterness that’s often missing in a foreign pale lager. For a beer you can get for $2 at a nice place in Chicago to sit down with a cone of frites… not bad.
Bottle. Drank this badboy straight from the big ass bottle I paid about a buck fiddy for after hiking thru the jungle in a DR national park. Can't say a whole lot about it other than it was pretty darn clean for a Pale Lager, certainly above average for the style. Light bodied and watery with fizzy active carbonation. Decent drinker for the heat of the day. kevinator (2860) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JAN 13, 2018
Typical Latin Bavarian lager. Pale malt, slightly sweet and simple. Light and crisp. Zlotta (4142) - Hagen, GERMANY - JAN 7, 2018
Sampled from 0.355 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before May 2018. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy and a bit skunky aroma of grains and some straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a bit grassy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy, a bit papery and minimally metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay. JWN (53) - Hundvag, NORWAY - JAN 5, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 "The beer is clear golden in colour with a solid white foam head that lasts. It tastes somewhat flat but still refreshing with a malty finish." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.comwombat23 (2137) - Texas, USA - JAN 3, 2018
Bought at: Half Time Beverage in Mamaroneck, USA.

Clear golden color with a fine white head. Decent intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Ok balanced sweetness and bitterness. Mellow malty, herbal and mild fruity flavor. Far better than expected. Absolutely an ok easy drinkable lager beer.CanCrusher (1178) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 12, 2017
[Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof in Berlin (Alexanderplatz), Germany]
Bottle 0,355L. Courtesy of Kita. Pale golden color with average, frothy, long lasting, white head. Aroma of grain, corn and butter. Taste is slightly vinous (white vine) and sweet. It gets a touch of bitterness at the end of the sip, but mostly remains sweet. Light to medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Not much of a beer, but at least I add a new country... Farbe: gold, klar.
Schaum: fein, bleibt immer ein bisschen was.
Nase: nicht viel, grasiger Hopfen.
Geschmack: feinperlig, frisch, eher leicht.

Clear, medium gold with a small, foamy white head.
Sweet grain, almost rice-like aroma.
Taste is sweet, grain malt, corn, sugar.
Not skunky at all, despite the green bottle and travel.
Not bad, really.....much better than expected. smaynard6000 (1266) - Apopka, Florida, USA - NOV 23, 2017
Bottle. Pours a golden color with fizzy white head. Highly carbonated. Skunky grain aroma. Sweet flavor. Thin bodied. Typical for the style.
