NOTE: As explained by the brewery in the commercial description, this beer is often made to varying recipes with different hops. Please make sure you put your review under the correct entry. The hops used are clearly identified on the label so there’s no excuse!

Everyone likes a pale ale and we’re no different. We like to mix up the aroma hops a bit and you will find that Pale Fire comes in different versions sometimes. We have hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo, Amarillo and Citra, Nelson Sauvin and others including the legendary Hop X, an English trial-hop being developed by Dr Peter Darby at Wye Hops.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2018 33cl bottle from UtoBeer. Peachy and citrusy IPA, with subtle notes of mango. Really nice aroma, and pale yellow colour

Sample. Citrus, cereal, light bread, herbs, spruce. Moderate bitter, slightly sweet.

#deskowo trochę nijakie, wyraźna chlebowa nuta słodu, goryczka i aromat nikły. Pije się bardzo gładko, ale nie dostarcza.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2017 Five from the bottle, and on tap at their brewery, though I had it the other day on tap in dalston and it seemed really bland which was odd as it’s usually so nice, perhaps I was given the wrong drink who knows!

Draft at Mother Kelly's Bethnal Green. Cloudy deep orange body with a very thin white head. Tropical citrus and mango nose. Slight carbonation with a dry tropical palate that fills the mouth but fizzles out. Enjoyable and light. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at CBC, Shoreditch on 22nd October 2017. Cloudy yellow gold with shallow whitish foam and spot lacing. Intense grass and grapefruit hoppiness in aroma, liquid pass and finish. Zingy mouthfeel and light body. Superb

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2017 Grass and grapefruit in the aroma. Light body and medium carbonation. Balanced bitter-sweet taste with some grapefruit. Very sessionable.

On tap at Bottle Shop Bermondsey, pours a lightly hazy pale yellow with some frothy, white head. Nose is just OK, some grass, some green grape, floral. Flavor is sadly a touch washed out, there's a muddled sweetness, some green grape, the grass turns to straw here. Finishes a touch watery, a bit of a let down.

Keg, Salt Horse. Pours gold, lacy head. Really big floral hoppy nose. Taste is a really good balance of citrus, malt, hops, a little dankness and mushroom. I could drink a lot of this.
