COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled; Regular. ABV varies.
NOTE: As explained by the brewery in the commercial description, this beer is often made to varying recipes with different hops. Please make sure you put your review under the correct entry. The hops used are clearly identified on the label so theres no excuse!

Everyone likes a pale ale and were no different. We like to mix up the aroma hops a bit and you will find that Pale Fire comes in different versions sometimes. We have hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo, Amarillo and Citra, Nelson Sauvin and others including the legendary Hop X, an English trial-hop being developed by Dr Peter Darby at Wye Hops.

Bottle at home in London. Pours just slightly hazy but vibrant gold with a rich, lasting white froth head. This smells gorgeous, with loads of fresh citrus fruits, tangerine, juicy orange, some dry grapefruit. The flavor doesnt quite match the nose in terms of goodness, but its decent. Lightly sweet with a mellow citrus character, hints of pine needles, some pale malts. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Fresh and clean to finish with suggestions of white wood, lemon, tangerine, pine needles, pale malts, and grapefruit. This one starts like a rocket but fizzles out a bit as you work through it. Very drinkable, but Im left feeling this beer could use a jolt.

On tap at MK, delicious light citrus nose. Pours clear with a full, off white head. Taste is all citrus, grapefruit, papaya, lots of tropical. Light bitter back that nicely balances the big flavours. Clean body. Not the first time Ive drank this, still love it.

330ml bottle. Hazy murky orange-brown colour, looks like muddy water, thin off-white head. Aroma: hoppy, fruity, spruce, wood. Taste: tropical fruit, citrus, pine, wood, kind of powdery and chalky... something seems a little off... Nice bitterness though. Soft carbonation, medium body. Perhaps a bad bottle (?) struggling to rate this any higher.

Bottle as a birthday gift from Pix. Cheers! Clear holden with a good frothy off white head. Pleasant fruity grapefruit aroma. The taste has more grapefruit with a little spice and a moderately bitter finish. A pretty solid USPA.
