Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of fruit - over ripe, spices - cardemomme, malt, and a bit caramel. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of malt and spices - cardemomme and more, as well as medium notes of caramel, leading to a dry spicy and alcoholic finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue. joergen (28102) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2010

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of bu11zeye. Pours brown with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Aroma of dried fruit and typical Quad yeast. Medium body, extremely fruity - dried fruit - lots of plums and figs here. Some yeast and phenols, a whiff of licorice and some warming alcohol in the finish. Cloudy reddish brown beer. Decent off white head. A little fruit on the nose. Softish semi dry palate. Soft malt with a subtle banana and bubblegum note. More obvious is a sweet fruity note, presumably from the dried plums. Segues seamlessly into a little spice and a touch of hop bitterness. Well joined up tasty quad.
Bomber at Publick House. Purple brown color. Aroma of black pepper and caramel. Taste is thick, sweet and peppery. Very nice. cgarvieuk (24455) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 22, 2011
