New Beer Distributors, NYC 650ml ($8): Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, yeasty, and fruity. Nice amount of hoppiness in this, which adds a lot of edge to the more traditional tripel style beneath it all. Spice and citrus are of course there. Quite good. wilderthanyou (758) - Guelph, CANADA - MAY 9, 2014
Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white cap. The aroma is sweet, bubble gum, peaches, bananas, tropical fruits, with an underlying dry herbal note. The flavour is also sweet, bubble gum and tropical fruits are a large part of the flavour profile with light pepper and herbal notes rounding things out. Different, solid, and easy drinking, I thoroughly enjoyed this brew! cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 6, 2014
Pour is lightly hazed yellowish amber with a fairly tight white head. Nose is predominantly candied sugar, light earthy note, and some sweet lemon. Taste is a bit more sweet but has some other things going on. Hints of peppery yeast and light tang. Sweeter candied sugar, faint candied lemon, not much of a distinct hop profile. Smooth medium body and well carbonated, very inviting palate. jandd1983 (4318) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - FEB 2, 2014
It poured a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was candied sugar, some yeast and a hint of a pear. The taste was mostly sweet with a somewhat tart dry finish. It had a smooth mouth feel and the alcohol was hidden well. Tasty. DuffMan (10429) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 28, 2013
Bottle, shared at the Boxing Day tasting at TimE’s place in Calgary. Yeasty fruit esters are overpowered by hop oils within a sweet and slightly heavy body. This drank like an imperial hopfenweiss to me, which I know sounds kind of stupid, but I liked it.

A bit too sweet with some bready notes and big hops, but too sweet. AbV is well hidden, but not that interesting. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
Gold. Fair head (in Tony’s glass). Dirty aroma. Dirty flavour with some hops. Ferris (15272) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
Bottle - Honey, grains, light spices and sweet yeast. Cloudy yellow with a rich white head. Too rich, too malty and too bitter. The finish kills it for me. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Bottle served in my Big Ole Tripel Karmeliet glass: Pours initially clean golden hue with a nice frothy head and spotty lace. (final pour is a yeasty and cloudy) The aroma has notes of mangoes, peaches, bananas, and star fruit esters over layers of biscuity sweet malts with a dash of pepper. The taste is malty foremost but does display a nice refreshing kick of bitterness on the edges, fruity and lightly earthy as well. The mouth feel is soft and slightly chewy with a moderate alcohol warming. Overall I was quite pleased with this brew. Frothmeister (797) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2013
1PT 6floz bottle. A year and a half in the cellar. Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin off-white head, and sediment floaters. Aroma is musty with lemon, pineapple, floral and herbal notes, honey, and yeast. The taste is citrus, and tropical fruit up front, followed by a mineral heavy bitterness that leads into some paraffin, and yeast with a good mineral finish. I’m impressed.
