3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Just got this in at Olive Tree Market in OB--$8.99 a bomber. Looks like it was bottled in July 2012--what the hell? why is this just getting into California. Stupid distributors. Yep, upon first popping the cap, I get some dying hops. Lame. Slightly hazy yellow gold with a 1 1/2 finger off-white head, good retention. Despite being a couple months old, there is still some good resiny pineapple and Citra hops, some lightly toasty malts behind. Flavor adds a bit of herbal hops and still has the aforementioned good hop flavor, but also the old hops. Just a little bit of malt sweetness is tempered by bitterness that peaked at a 7 in the semi-dry finish, earthy. Medium body with light smooth carbonation. I bet this would’ve been quite tasty if I had a fresher bottle--no complaints other than the age.
backlog. Hazy yellow on draft. Large head. Violent carbonation. Very dry and bitter finish. Christian (13823) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2016

Bottle. Pours a near clear light orange with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has earthy grass and earthy citrus with a touch of flora as well as a touch of sweet grains backing. Flavor has earthy citrus up front with a bit of resin and some sweet grains in the finish.

Bomber bottled Aug 2015 - nose is spruce and citrus. Sip adds floral elements as well as a little hay. interesting flavor but watery. surprised by the lack of pronounced bitterness. Easy to drink and dangerous because of the 7.0% ABV. latent fruitcake Braudog (6837) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Bottle. Medium gold, with a firm build. Pretty malty first impression, but then the woody aspects start to come forward. This is an outdoorsy adventure. (#6074, 12/12/2015) milewide (2315) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 10, 2015
Cloudy golden color. Excellent blend of fruity and herbal hops. Modest bitterness. Solid malt support. migwell (367) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 4, 2015
Adieu Pretty Things, you made some memorable brews! Meadowlark IPA is a good example, a very much straight down the middle American IPA, well balanced, good malt flavor, hoppy but not bitter. Big bottle poured (several times) into a tall thin tulip, which induces a pronounced and occasionally uncontrollable head in almost everything poured into it. Light amber colored, robust citrus flavor, good balance and complexity from start to finish. I’m sure I’ll be one of many buying up the remaining stock. Pours a golden amber from a bottle with a thick pillowy white head, slowly dissipating leaving lots of lacing. Nose is intensely floral with a touch of hay. Flavor is also floral, but starting to throw in a bit of fruits, like peaches in syrup kind of a thing. Sweet but not cloying, ending on a bitter note. Full mouthfeel, slightly oily but not in a bad way. Very good beer.
