On tap at the brewpub, Vilnius. Very dark brown, bordering on black. Chocolate malt scent, hints of cinnamon, plum, cough drop. The taste however is really bland. Quite sweet, yet doesn’t really go anywhere. The short finish ensures that it’s gone before you’ve really got your head around it. Just ok really.

Draught. Dark brown colour, quickly diminishing head, good lacing. Aroma is hay, with something unusual and herbal in the finish (I don’t think it’s hops). Light bitterness, not sweet, not sour. Medium carbonation. Overall - good.

Crazy beer. Smooth, bready aroma. Dark brown with small beige head. Breast taste with super smooth feeling in mouth. Never thought that I will rate any beer without lots of hops that highly. Or was it just long day?

Bottle from draft. Faint aroma but super combination of texture and carbonation. Reminded at some point carbonated sour chocolate milk. That is weird #400,noted here.

25cl on tap at the brewpub. Pretty clear brown with a reddish hue and a small, off-white head. Mild malty aroma with hints of roasted malt and dark fruits. Medium sweet with weak, but fairly pleasant flavours and a light bitterness. Slightly watery, but quite drinkable.

2000/ The head is medium, the body brown, almost black. It smells darkmalty, fruity, raisins-woody. The taste is very malty, darkmalty, balanced, a bit woody-raisin, less creamy. Nice! 11/12/11/11/-/11

Mörkbrun (mot rött), med vitt skum. Röda bär, kola och mörk choklad i aromen. Angenäm maltsötma i smaken. Inslag av vanilj, citrus och kola. Mörk choklad i eftersmaken.

In short: A bland dark amber ale without personality
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy dark amber body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is toasted hay and dank basement. Taste has caramel, hay, toasts and light notes of red fruits. This is a straightforward very basic beer but somehow the finish was very long, the beer is far from intense but I could literally taste it one minute after a sip. Not very sweet but still a bit too much so to be sessionnable. Overall very forgettable. The last beer I had at this brewpub, when we left the nice waitress said something to me in Lithuanian, I can’t understand Lithuanian so I don’t know what she said, but judging by her reaction I can safely rule out “please pull down your pants sir”.
