ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 2, 2011
Bottle from Centra Colosseum, Oslo, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew (BBGTC). Clear golden body, small white head. Aroma is butter dough, caramel and butterscotch. Spoiled! After some hesitation, I take a deep breath and put my lips in it. As expected: cardboard, cabbage, sugar and butter in one sweet, infected soup of off-flavors. After bitching and moaning for a while, I realize the bottle is 2 months past its best-before date, and so I promise to re-rate on occasion.

rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 12, 2011
500 ml bottle. 4%. From Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia.
Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Sweet caramel, mild diacetyl, buttery sweetness and red berries (?) in aroma. Grassy hoppy bitter flavour with malty body and mild diacetyl. Diacetyl gets a bit annoying. Bitterness stays. Some red berry notes.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick white head. Grainy, slightly cellarish aroma with some fruityness. Medium to thin on the palate, dry, with a pleasant bitterness, especially in the finish. Pale malts and a touch of wet cardboard blends in. Well, definitely not a favorite of mine, I wonder if it’s better completely fresh. 110917
