BlackHaddock (7346) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2014
3rd Oct 2014: 500ml bottle shared with the wife in Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Our last beer of the day, thought an English Pale Ale would be different while in The Czech Republic. Poured a good looking mahogany brown with full white head. The aroma was of mild malts and caramel. The flavour is semi-sweet with those same malts and caramel hints from the nose. Slight bitter finish but all in all a very good example of a style I know very well. This could stand shoulder to shoulder with many of it’s counterparts in the UK and not be out of place.

botlle. Color brownish amber with nice firm head. Aroma caramael, malts and little citrus. Taste sweet and bitter. Not bad. Medium body.

Quite dark color, good taste one would expect from ale. Medium head, lingering for long time.

Kicsit többet vártam a Primatortol, bár igaz, ez nem tipikusan cseh sör. Kicsit tömeg sör feelingje volt, a szine, az íze mind mind elmaradt a várttól, de azért jó sör, csak többet vártam t?le.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Clear deep amber color with large rocky off-white head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Pleasant aroma of citrus, mild caramel, herbal hops and abit vinous. Taste starts with light sweet caramel malt, follows by fresh fruitiness and some grassy sourness. Mouthfeel is a bit spicy, while finish is moderate bitter with decent aftertaste. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit too bland, but still very drinkable ale...

CanCrusher (1074) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - MAY 22, 2014
Bottle 0,50L. Clear, copper colour with small, frothy, white head and poor visible carbonation. Aroma of bready malts, herbs and grass. Taste starts light bitter, somehow spicy and finish medium bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Decent Czech pale ale in English style...

Typical amber colour, nice and firm head. Slightly grainy aroma. Quite authentic pale ale taste with a slightly sour note. Finish brings up typical pilsner bitterness. Quite drinkable, fresh beer.

Bottle. Pours brownish amber with offwhite head. Caramel malt, grain and earth in the aroma. Taste is moderately sweet. Medium body with low carbonation. This beer didn’t appeal to me.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond Shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Pours bronze with a white medium head, aroma of caramel, malt, cookies, flavor of caramel, flowers, bread, some green tea, medium bodied.
