Clean brown beer with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, minimal roasted character. Medium bodied, easy beer with caramel, sweet toffee, minimal espresso-like taste of roasted grains, sourish yeast. Minimal cocoa, minimal fruitiness. Mild toasted-nutty aftertaste. Not too exciting, easy drinkable beer for a meeting of friends...
Bottle. Label reads premium dark lager. Pours a dark reddish brown with a 3 finger beige head that left nice lacing. The nose is fruit, toasted caramel and brown sugar. The taste is burnt caramel, toffee, chocolate and sweet dark fruits. Light-t0-medium mouthfeel. OK beer, sweeter than I expected. holdan (260) - USA - MAR 12, 2010

330 ml bottle from SystembolagetGreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Aroma is grainy, roasty, a little bit toffee, with some fruity esters coming off it as well. Lively carbonation, quite thin on the palate.
Taste is quite a simple dark roast, with some slightly burnt corners. Residual sugars noticeable. The finish is pure roasted marshmallows.
Been brewed since 1872 and only three scores. Wheres it been hiding all my life-a. Pours dark with a thick frothy head that lingers a bit. Smells of semi sweet brown cake bread. Medium nectar with ample effers and a chewy texture. Mildly sweet with defined cocoa and mildly roasted coffee bean. The finish is bittered rather well finishing dry and tasty. Nice!
