bottle from tesco in prague. pours a clear orange-amber with a frothy white head. aroma is caramel malts, some dried fruits, sweet hop citrus, and some spice. taste is toasty malt at first, which gives way to a sweet caramel-cereal swell, followed by a sweetish finish. alcohol is pretty noticable. a bit one-dimensional. the initial flavors tend to fade pretty quickly but there is a nice dry aftertaste. overall pretty sweet, but not as sweet as the primator 24°. pretty full bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. pretty rich and sweet, but not sticky-sweet by any means. a good brew overall, will try again, but i agree - it’s a bit of a palate destroyer (the alcohol is just a bit too intense).

Bottle from Tesco, Prague. Orange coloured with no head. Strange aroma of boston beans and caramel. Flavour of caramel, with some grassy hops and a slightly bitter finish. Odd.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild citrusy to apple aroma. Sweet malty and slight caramel base flavour. Light spiced note to the dense and sweet caramel malty flavour. Alcohol smooth finish with a solid sweetness yet carries this nicely.

Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet aroma with malty and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with caramel, toasted malt and alcohol notes. Ends sweet with warming alcohol.

bottle. Clear pale golden yellow, small white head. Fruity nose. Full-bodied, malty and sweeet, slightly sticky. Fruity background and some hoppy flavours also hover around. An interesting brew, labelled "svetly porter" = pale porter.

Dark golden with a moderate head, that leaves a nice lace. The aroma is malty and sweet. The flavour is sweet and the malt is dominating with notes of candy sugar and caramel. The alcohol is evident and the finish has a very low bitterness. Too sweet, too malty and too strong - and IMO to little complexity.

Plenty of fruit, sugar and alcohol in the nose. Very hazy, deep golden coloured body is topped by a shy, off white, large bubbled head that recedes rapidly to a partial cover. Flavour offers some toasted and grainy malts, plenty of fruity esters and a jolt of alcohol. All is balanced quite well by very assertive carbonation the keeps the sweetness from becoming sticky or cloying. Medium-full body. Can’t say I’d make this a regular selection if it was readily available but it was worth a try. Bottle (BB 03/04/08, Brewery Creek, Sep-07).

bottle, BOM club shipment. This beer is very sweet and reeks of alcohol. The alcohol makes itself known in the aroma, flavor and especially on the palate. B/C of the alcohol dominating the palate, this beer is really not that dynamic nor worth buying. Not worth much at all, except a quick buzz and a ruined palate.

Hazy copper-amber. Toasty, alcoholy nose that reminds me of Bucanero Max. Slightly dry character, mild toastiness, full body. Big alcohol signature but balanced by a fat, tangy maltiness and lots of caramel. Brawny stuff.
