Aroma gentle essence-wrap of dark malts. Hints of cherry wood sap and honey. 7-
Appearance clear light garnet with brown shade to it. Medium beige head. Rings of lace.4-
Flavor and Palate : Medium full bodied. Gentle carbonation , light prune notes show up front. Touch of brown sugars with woody hints. Thankfully drier second half. Overall I think that it is still overly sweet. Otherwise solid offering.
[Bottle] Dark reddish brown hue, a little foamy but not lasting foam. Maltty, roasted nutty chocolate aroma with some mild fruit and peppery spice from the hops. Smooth, lightly crabonated chocolaty palate, some nutty dryness and a decent amount of hoppy bitterness in the finish for the style. Pleasant easy drinker with a nice amount of flavor.

Bottle. Clear, dark brown with a hint of red and a pretty nice beige bumpy head that leaves decent lacings.
Big aroma of toasty butterscotch, syrup bread, chocolate coated toffee, nuts, some mineral and a hint of grassy hops. Some coffee also show up.
Taste is sugary sweet and smooth with caramel, toasty butterscotch, syrup, bread and a hint of chocolate and just a slight of bitterness. A bit watery.
Thin body, smooth mouthfeel with very low carbonation.
Good aroma but way too sugary sweet and thin. Decent though. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2011
Halfway between the stark, sharp dunkels that I experience (American, Czech) and the bastardized (yes, I said it), mostly but not exclusively Polish versions. This has a soft medium sweetness, slight caramel, moderate cola, in the flavor profile. Not a lot else, excepting maybe a late acrid coffee-grounds flavor that is welcome. Hops? Nah! Almost no bitterness. Maybe a bit of dusty flower in there. Aroma is woodsy and pretty fresh, caramel, slight hay. Lingering head, looks a totally normal clear medium to dark brown. joe19612 (3033) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2011
