Drank this from the bottle watching some kids play baseball in the dark. This almost tastes of nothing! But I like the way it feels! robforbes (2263) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - APR 2, 2010
pours a very pale yellow with a thin white head that dissipates rapidly, not much of a lacing.
smell is of corn, pale malt, and grain.
taste crisp, grain, malt, a few hops, and a little funky ending. nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2010
The aroma is a bit skunky with adjuncts like corn but that may be sugar cane according to the label. The appearance is pale gold with a large head that fizzes away. The taste is malty and lightly bitter-sweet with a dry finish. The palate is right for the style. Overall an interesting concept that does not yield much. strings (377) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2010
Bottle in Hawaii. Hmmm... interesting. Tastes much better cold which is probably not a good sign I guess. Quite sweet as you would expect from the cane sugar. Let down by slighty chemical aftertaste. Hopper (827) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2010
A yellow beer with a small fading head. The aroma is corny and offensive as is the taste. I was offended when I drank this beer and was even more offended when I found out who brews it when I got back home from Hawaii.

Negative props for authenticity, as this one’s brewed in California with "island" sugar (the islands are not identified lest the current Honolulu government object) but pretty damn drinkable, and happily sugary sweet--good for the "island" heat Reid (2611) - Salem, Oregon, USA - FEB 24, 2010
22 oz bomber from Capital Market, Salem.
was kinda tricked really into buying, thought this was brewed on HI. but its brewed in Millers plant in Cali.
Ok pretty average looking lager pale golden nice sized white head. Typical.
Aroma is pretty pleasant for style only a whiff of carboard to go with the buisuity malts.
Taste..pretty average semi-sweet American lager.
Mouthfeel is actually Ok they managed to at least keep the carbonation down this makes the overall expierience with the beer more pleasing.
This is an OK macro lager..not too many off flavours. reinds me of Henry Weinhards Private Reserve..thats a good thing. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Bottle - Pretty sweet and not very different than an american standard beer. The cane sugar is a nice touch but it is still overly sweet. Disappointed once i found out my bottle was not actually brewed on the island. kosko20 (352) - Bemidji, Minnesota, USA - DEC 29, 2009
Pours a ginger ale colored body, no head. Aroma is yeast, banana and clove. Flavor is bitter and palate is crisp but metallic. An alright beer. Kuzo (116) - Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2009
pours a dark gold with decent head. Not much on the nose. Taste is sweet and metallic. Nothing special with this one.
