Sample at Burger Bar in Las Vegas. The beer is a clear golden color with a thin and fizzy white head that diminishes quickly. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Light hops and pale malt in the nose. Light, carbonated body with grainy malt and mild hops flavors. Touches of fruit at times as well. The finish is lightly bitter with a short hops aftertaste. By-the-numbers Lager overall.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2009 Bottle from Valley Farm. Medium golden in color. Sweet grain aroma. Some corn as well. Crisp and grainy. Decent lager. Kind of reminds me of Lucky from the 90’s.

Draft. Pours a clear, golden with a spritzy white head. The aroma is sweet with some vegetal notes — molasses and corn — and a hint of grassy hops. The flavor is lightly sweet and very lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Better than many other mass-market pale lagers and refreshing enough. But not a lot of flavor in this one.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle this poured a very clear gold with a big white head and good lacing. Nose of malts with some light floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is light malts with a light bitter finish. Refreshing to drink.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2009 Bottle on the beach. Pours clear golden with a decent bubbly white head. Nose is mostly malt, heavy on the molasses, with a little hoppy spice. Full mouthfeel. Flavor is mostly caramel malt that turns into a weird oniony taste in the finish. Overall, not too bad.

(draft @ Burger Bar - Las Vegas, NV) Clear gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is lightly sweet with some corn and hops. Flavor is also sweet with the same corn and hop note along with some cookie dough and light malts. Refreshing and went well with my burger.

I guess it is a red stripe knockoff. Got it from a place in Anaheim where Ron and I picked up a Mickey’s. Now enjoying while watching fireworks. Fruity, grassy aroma with some coconut. Zero taste or flavor. Very foamy. points for no off-taste. It’ll have to do.

Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - FEB 12, 2009
12oz bottle. Gold pour, much better than the typical pale lager, the head retention isn’t too bad either. Slight sweet malt aroma. A little sweet, no hop character at all, decent drinker.

Wortth a try, a bit sweet with unfamiliar aromas of mash and grass, not exactly pleasant. Drinkable but not really worth the $7.99 price. Brewed in CA with a Hawaiian brand.
