Bottle from Food Pantry Waikiki 191214. This is some nasty ass beer right here. Pale and pasty with no aroma or flavour. Label says brewed since 1897, sure tastes like it. slowrunner77 (12147) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 1, 2014
"a little sweeter aroma and flavor than most in the style, which makes it stand out...a little. a quaffable yellow pee pee water, but still yellow pee pee water. very little hop presence or dare i say, complexity, but refreshing and lacking in skunk." milewide (2260) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Rated from memory, but I drank a lot of these on Hawaii. Routine lager, but fresh and cheap. czlowiekwiadro (1025) - POLAND - JUN 13, 2014
zapach lekki, dość przyjemny - zioła z chmielu i lekkie mleko/śmietanka. kolor złoty, przejrzysty, piana mierna. w smaku pełne, bardzo karmelowe, lekko palone. da się wyczuć posmak śmietany co ciekawie łączy się ze słodyczą i karmelowością. goryczka niska, ale dość przyjemna. trochę zbyt nasycone Theydon_Bois (19788) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2014
Bottle in our Maui apartment, 25/04/14.
Clear pale goden with a moderate off white head that retains well.
Nose is pale malts, cereal, corn, hint of vanilla, straw, sweetish notes.
Taste comprises cereals, pale malt, light honey, straw, sweet licks.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate - nice feel, sweetis close.
Had worse pale lagers but most of this was sent to the Pacific!

On sale at Liquor Mountain for just 138 yen, they also had Anchor’s Humming Ale for 148 yen. It pours like a typical macro-lager, gold with a fizzy white head. It looks fine. The aroma grains, grass & some biscuit. Medium-bodied the carbonation gives it a slightly rough mouthfeel. The taste isn’t so bad, not syrupy sweet like most macros I really get that cane sugar/brown sugar taste, some light malts and a dash of bitterness at the finish alas I get some wet cardboard too which is a bummer. Ok for a macro. Danev76 (505) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 13, 2014

Bottle from Honolulu. Pale yellow/gold, small white head, bready malt, cornflakes, low grassy bitterness, sweet finish. Nothing special. 3fourths (9349) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 16, 2014
An adjunct pale lager indistinguishable from most. Rice cake / saccharine in the nose with some calcium carbonate (Alka Seltzer) and mild honeyish notes. Light body, rough malt and equally rough carbonation. Sweet, low bitterness, medium+ acid. They claim cane sugar is involved but it adds nothing discernible. The aroma and flavor aren’t foul, only bland. they obviously aren’t going for anything special with this beer, just a light lager made for the brand loyal. From can, complimentary, on Hawaiian Airlines cruising at 40,000 feet.
