Taste from Big Braddah can brought back to mainland by Otto. If rated just as a lager, the score would not be as high. I am rating this more as an experimental beer. For a beer designed to show off "Pure Island Cane," it does so well. It is definitely sweet, but finishes surprisingly clean with all the sugar.
It pours straw with a large white head and moderately low head retention. It has a moderate apple aroma and some grainy sweetness. The flavors are light with small grainy flavors and grass. There is a bite to it. gripweed57 (2966) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 13, 2017
From old tasting notes. Brewed by Stroh Brewery. Pale gold color with a small white head. Looks like Ginger Ale. Slight crab apple malt aroma. Tangy malt flavor. Highly carbonated.nsome dryness in finish. Brief bitter aftertaste. StoutBeerReviews (274) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 28, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2017 has the swagger of a leinenkugel’s original with a low price tag too. tastes a little sweeter than most standard lagers and thats ok with me. Pretty big fan of this so far. 12 pack for 10.99 in hawaii kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - JAN 2, 2017
Pabst does it again. Damn, Captain Joseph would be proud. This tastes delicious on Wailea beach, more than we expected it to. Ronritter (875) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 23, 2016
Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart

A pretty standard pale lager. When fresh from an ice bath it is quite refreshing and void of most flavor. A hint of hop bitterness rounded out with light malt sweetness. As it warms on the beach it gets quite off-putting. Nothing to see here, move along. melush (4957) - SPAIN - MAY 8, 2016

Clear yellow golden color with a mid-size foamy white head.
Malty and cardboardy aroma.
The flavor is dry malt, some sweetness, mild berries and mild burntness.
Regular American pale lager.
Poured from the tap many years ago in Waikiki. This beer is your basic AAL straw yellow with a small white head. It has a weak beer aroma of malt but I found the flavor to be refreshing, Not a craft beer type flavor but a hot summer day session beer. I am not sure how the new brewery stateside makes it, but the Schlitz brewery had a nice flavor. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2015
Golden draft pour at tikis in Honolulu. White head. A decent chuggable and kind of sweet lager. It was served freezing and that was great
