Negative props for authenticity, as this one’s brewed in California with "island" sugar (the islands are not identified lest the current Honolulu government object) but pretty damn drinkable, and happily sugary sweet--good for the "island" heat mnurda (1305) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 13, 2012
Bottled sample from Hawaii. Could tell by looking at it that this beer would have an inferior tinny taste. Was correct.

As long as Im rating the shittiest beer I can find in the dredges of my fridge, Ill submit this story to the Midnight Society: Imagine a beer with a floating head of a dead polynesian pedophile on its label and think to yourself "well it cant get much worse from here". I would rather be hit over the head with a bottle of this junk than have to have it mysteriously appear in my fridge. Please. Family, stop with the care packages. I can find good beer on my own. On tap, so I’ll assume that this was the actual Hawaiian product and the contracted Miller product. The pour was thin and clear gold. A short bit of white foam appeared. Not much lacing. The aroma was sugary sweet and lightly corny. The flavor followed suit. A thin pale lager that is dominated by sweetness.

Primo is BACK! I had this in Maui over Thanksgiving 2008. Pale yellow pour with white head that fades quickly. A nice nose that’s sweet and pleasant. Little hops/barley. Very smooth. A great thirst quencher. This stuff really hits that spot on the back of your throat. For such an otherwise mild, unassuming brew, this is very nice. tennessejed420 (940) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2011
bottle on the beach. Made with sugar cane and you can detect this aspect in the flavor, giving it a sweet - wood like aspect, along with corn starch and water. Light in body, not much going on in the aroma. No offensive, off flavors here, so I can say it will do the job for a light lager on the beach. thetmaxx (927) - West Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 24, 2013
From the big braddah can, watching the sunset on Maui. This beer is like any island lager or any American lager for that matter. Blah, but its what’s in the fridge, drank all the Maui and kona beer. CelticBrew (912) - The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2009
Had original beer "Eh, brah, I got beer in my ear..", poured golden and formed huge white foamy head. Aroma of malted corn, light ocean water hops. Flavour much of the same, ends sweet, yet quaffably fresh. Too much will give you a tremendous headache. About $3.99 a sixer, as I recall.
