First beer in Vegas.
Waiter seemed overly thrilled about an amazing Hawaiian beer.
golden pour with white head.
Taste/aroma, light hops, thin notes of malt, crisp and some grainy mouthfeel.
Nothing amazing here. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Tap at Yard House in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Never saw this beer for sale in Hawai’i. Clear golden pour. Weak, white foam. Nose is vegetal, sticky stale candies, super heavy sweet maraschino cherry, grenadine. Taste is sweet cherry juice box, white sugar cube. Palate is powdery, papery. Very sweet. Not sure what this beer is about besides marketing. gyllenbock (9846) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 24, 2013
Can during a flight with Hawaiian Airlines between HNL and OAK, August 2013.
Clear golden with a white head. A typical boring and sweet Pale Lager with a weak aroma and taste of bread, paper and light notes of fruit.

An adjunct pale lager indistinguishable from most. Rice cake / saccharine in the nose with some calcium carbonate (Alka Seltzer) and mild honeyish notes. Light body, rough malt and equally rough carbonation. Sweet, low bitterness, medium+ acid. They claim cane sugar is involved but it adds nothing discernible. The aroma and flavor aren’t foul, only bland. they obviously aren’t going for anything special with this beer, just a light lager made for the brand loyal. From can, complimentary, on Hawaiian Airlines cruising at 40,000 feet.

Honolulu, Hi - Whole Foods - 22 oz bomber. Medium gold pour, light white head, slight lace. Brief wet cardboard aroma. Flavor has some buttery notes, hint of metal, but not terrible overall. Somewhat of an oily mouthfeel. Noticed this beer as soon as I landed in Hawaii and remembered seeing the blue label with a warrior on it as a kid in California years ago. From big bottle, from cooler, in plastic cup on Ke’e beach, Kaua’i 22/08/12. Slight honey on straw aroma. Soft, lightly carbonated straw, honey and lemony boiled sweet flavoured. Raffia tablemat. Contains ’island cane’, emblazoned with the archipelago, brewed in Irwindale, CA. The dirty, filthy, robbin’ bastards. Beautiful spot for a crap pale lager.

12oz bottle picked up at an ABC store in Honolulu
Appearance: Clear yellow with a big foamy white head and good lacing
