The aroma is a bit skunky with adjuncts like corn but that may be sugar cane according to the label. The appearance is pale gold with a large head that fizzes away. The taste is malty and lightly bitter-sweet with a dry finish. The palate is right for the style. Overall an interesting concept that does not yield much.

From big bottle, from cooler, in plastic cup on Kee beach, Kauai 22/08/12. Slight honey on straw aroma. Soft, lightly carbonated straw, honey and lemony boiled sweet flavoured. Raffia tablemat. Contains island cane, emblazoned with the archipelago, brewed in Irwindale, CA. The dirty, filthy, robbin bastards. Beautiful spot for a crap pale lager.

Almost a half finger of head on a clear, medium straw colored body. The aroma is faint overall: a little grain. The taste is mild bitterness and a little sour with a touch of sweetness at the end. Not much to it though. The texture is meh with moderate carbonation and light body. This beer cannot even manage to be "light and refreshing" for the hot island/beach environment.

Draught at the Yard House, Honolulu, HI
Blond color. The aroma is a bit Cornish, but the flavor even more; dry and smooth mouthfeel. Low bitterness, with a meaty feeling in the final.
Poor.

From the big braddah can, watching the sunset on Maui. This beer is like any island lager or any American lager for that matter. Blah, but its whats in the fridge, drank all the Maui and kona beer.

"a little sweeter aroma and flavor than most in the style, which makes it stand out...a little. a quaffable yellow pee pee water, but still yellow pee pee water. very little hop presence or dare i say, complexity, but refreshing and lacking in skunk."

24 oz can. BB Nov/02/15. (Food Pantry) Honolulu, HI.
Clear yellow golden color with a mid-size foamy white head. Malty and cardboardy aroma. The flavor is dry malt, some sweetness, mild berries and mild burntness. Regular American pale lager.
