12oz bottle. Clear straw with a weak white head. Light mineral and grainy aroma. Very light sweet flavor with a hint of corn. Pretty much no hops, so it finishes a little sweet despite the lightness. Thin and very carbonated. Nothing nasty, but pretty flavorless. sebletitje (10096) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAY 15, 2009
First beer in Vegas.
Waiter seemed overly thrilled about an amazing Hawaiian beer.
golden pour with white head.
Taste/aroma, light hops, thin notes of malt, crisp and some grainy mouthfeel.
Nothing amazing here. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2010
The aroma is a bit skunky with adjuncts like corn but that may be sugar cane according to the label. The appearance is pale gold with a large head that fizzes away. The taste is malty and lightly bitter-sweet with a dry finish. The palate is right for the style. Overall an interesting concept that does not yield much. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Bottle from Oahu. Pours a clear glowing lighter golden with a fizzy frothy white head. Grassy aroma with a light sweetness. Somewhat clean flavor, light bitterness, light sweetness, touch of faint apple, doughy, softer malty, with lasting bitter aftertaste. Scubaguy (230) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 9, 2010
The flavor is a little grainy and some grassy notes. Nothing special going on here.
In the aroma category it’s pretty basic with some grains.
Pours a golden color with a quick disappearing white head and some patchy lacing
The finish is pretty clean and crisp. Has some grassy notes there. It’s pretty easy drinking. If your looking for a mindless beer this may be it.

From big bottle, from cooler, in plastic cup on Ke’e beach, Kaua’i 22/08/12. Slight honey on straw aroma. Soft, lightly carbonated straw, honey and lemony boiled sweet flavoured. Raffia tablemat. Contains ’island cane’, emblazoned with the archipelago, brewed in Irwindale, CA. The dirty, filthy, robbin’ bastards. Beautiful spot for a crap pale lager.
Fatehunter (2568) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Almost a half finger of head on a clear, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is faint overall: a little grain.
The taste is mild bitterness and a little sour with a touch of sweetness at the end. Not much to it though.
The texture is meh with moderate carbonation and light body.
This beer cannot even manage to be "light and refreshing" for the hot island/beach environment. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 24, 2013
Draught at the Yard House, Honolulu, HIthetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Blond color. The aroma is a bit Cornish, but the flavor even more; dry and smooth mouthfeel. Low bitterness, with a meaty feeling in the final.
From the big braddah can, watching the sunset on Maui. This beer is like any island lager or any American lager for that matter. Blah, but its what’s in the fridge, drank all the Maui and kona beer. csaso (2300) - Missouri, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Can - unable to pour from can, but pretty typical pale lager, nothing special
