Bottle from Honolulu. Pale yellow/gold, small white head, bready malt, cornflakes, low grassy bitterness, sweet finish. Nothing special.

It pours straw with a large white head and moderately low head retention. It has a moderate apple aroma and some grainy sweetness. The flavors are light with small grainy flavors and grass. There is a bite to it.

Draft. Pours a clear, golden with a spritzy white head. The aroma is sweet with some vegetal notes — molasses and corn — and a hint of grassy hops. The flavor is lightly sweet and very lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Better than many other mass-market pale lagers and refreshing enough. But not a lot of flavor in this one.

Honolulu, Hi - Whole Foods - 22 oz bomber. Medium gold pour, light white head, slight lace. Brief wet cardboard aroma. Flavor has some buttery notes, hint of metal, but not terrible overall. Somewhat of an oily mouthfeel. Noticed this beer as soon as I landed in Hawaii and remembered seeing the blue label with a warrior on it as a kid in California years ago.

hopscotch (11180) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 13, 2009
Bottle… Clear yellow lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. The aroma is nearly non-existent, but I am finally able to pull a drop of honey and a rumor of warm mash from the glass. Light-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Once warm, the flavor is all honey and pale grain sweetness with very little hop bitterness to counter. Finishes crisp, lightly sweet, and then astringent.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, short lived, white head, over a clear golden (SRM 5) body....nose is light malts, corn, cereal....taste is sweet corn, finishing perhaps with a bit of bitterness....mouth feel is light and watery, carbonation high. This meets all of the characteristics of a pale lager, a style not worth the malt. BJCP 5/2/8/3/4

Bottle. Pours yellow with a white head...Aroma is pale lager with hint of pepper and citrus. Flavor is like a light lager but no gross aftertaste. This is what it is...better than macro pale lagers.
