Excellent aroma, unfortunately quite a dull appearance but what’s inside that’s important, great flavor and also well priced. A beer to recomment. ARMed (625) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 10, 2007
My favorite weiss beer. Simple but the perfect blend of aroma and flavor. Not the most complex weiss beers but certainly a tremndous brew with strong flavors. captnwizkidd (15) - COS, Colorado, USA - OCT 31, 2016
Very good aroma, initial caramel flavor, smooths out to a nut flavor. Nice overall very nice easy drinking beer. I definitely will drink this again.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2007 Pours a lemon honey color w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth that slowly reduces to full lacing. Aroma is bright w/ musty boot leather. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. A slightly earthy style weissbier with mellow citrus rind fruit and a smooth finish. Well ballanced yet beholding a complexity not found in most hefeweizen brews. I really like the pronounced leathery aroma and flavor. Reminds me of wet bird feathers. PerfectIy carbonated, good hang time. Quinten (1062) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 12, 2007
König ludwig weissbier says my bottle,..ratebeer says its prinzregent luitpold wessbier hell,..o.k. (its not hell)
Golden cloudy coulor, very foamy thick head, WOW very nice one perfect balance, of banana, citrus, yeast, perfect smell, very refreshing. rampmaster (642) - Alden, New York, USA - JUL 10, 2008
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz. bottle into a weizen glass. The body was cloudy and had a cool, golden yellow color with visible carbonation. Its head is thick, creamy and bright white in color. It slowly fades to a thin cap that hangs on till the last sip and leaves nice lace on the glass. There is an inviting aroma of wheat, clove, fruity yeast and banana. The flavor has a good wheat malt base with fruity yeast that has notes of banana. Mellow herbal hops, spicy clove and a touch of lemon round out the flavor on a smooth creamy palate with a medium body and lively carbonation. It finishes somewhat dry with some lingering wheat and dry earthy tones. This is a great example of a German hefeweizen. The balance is spot on for the style and it is wonderfully refreshing and very easy to drink.

Sampled a bottle in Hohenschwangau, Bavaria from a bottle into a stein. A wonderful beer all round and exactly why I love this style of beer so much. The head was great and creamy, the smell & taste were excellent with lots of banana and clove. It really did have it all, a great summery beer. I loved it.
