5 sweet caramelly aroma - fairly predictable dark lager.
3+ deep red, slightly fizzy carbonation.
6 Slightly papery retronasals, but a sweeter caramelly body. Some bitter bite.
3 Fairly uninteresting palate, slightly fizzy carbonation. Sweet enough to feel quite full, but no real depth or complexity. Finish quite burnt, a touch ashy, and with fairly industrialised bitter hops.
10 Wasn’t expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised. However, after that initial surprise, deep down this just a burnt caramelly dark lager.

AR: white bread, some hops, sugar
AP: black with a reddish tone, high fluffy beige head disappering slowly
F: roasted malt, melas, dry finish, not god not bad. I guess this would be perfect for the christmas table. Not as a starter not as a desert beer. Skinnyviking (9570) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2010
Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Clear dark red brown body. Roasted barley malt aroma with spicy notes and caramel. Bittersweet flavor with caramel and berries. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste. Sigmund (7537) - Tau, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2010
500 ml brown bottle, as Pripps Jul, from Systembolaget post-Christmas 2009. ABV is 5.0%. Mahogany coloured beer, big off-white beige head. Sweetish fruity aroma, also notes of caramel malts, hints of Christmas spices. The flavour has notes of münchener and caramel malts, baked goods, sweet and slightly spicy, also with a certain fruitiness. Very moderate hops in the finish. Overall surprisingly decent for a beer from Pripps / Carlsberg Sweden.

surprisingly drinkable. fonefan (49430) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 5, 2009

Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.
Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are malt, caramel, spices and fruits. larsga (7542) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 8, 2009
Big pale brown head shrinks rapidly. Barely translucent dark red body with light carbonation. Fruity bready malty aroma with faint spicy notes. Dry-sweet fruity dusty roasty taste with bready spicy notes. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Lightish body. Dry herbal licorice and anise aftertaste with caramel notes lingers for a long time. Very nice. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
