Red-brown with a nice head. The aroma is sweetish and malty with notes of caramel and berries. The flavour has a pleasant sweetness, and I like the balance in the slightly roasted malts and caramel and I get hints of raisin. The bitterness is low. It’s actually quite charming, even if it’s not nearly among the "big" beers. Moz (613) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - JAN 6, 2008
Can. Brown colour with a small brown head. Sweet, slightly grassy aroma. Light roasted taste. OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 26, 2007
500 ml bottle. Clear and dark reddish-brown color. Medium-sized mostely lasting beige head. Weak aroma of lightly roasted malts and unfresh hops. Taste is medium sweet, sourish and grainy with unrefined bittering hops. Well-bodied. Sugery mouthfeel. Sweet and mild bitter end. Not a favorite. ekstedt (6944) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 17, 2007
Can (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Deep copper with a medium beige head. Unclean, grainy, and sourish malt aroma, with vague roasted notes. Light to medium body, ok carbonation. Fairly sweet with low bitterness. Svesse (8731) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 15, 2007
(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost mahogany. Firm, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, slightly sweetish, nose with dark bread, ryvita, chocolate, fudge and cola. Malty taste, slightly roasted, with dark rye bread, ryvita and hints of raisins. Balanced sweetness throughout, some bitterness and notes of hops towards the end (but they don’t really follow through all the way to the end). Smooth mouthfeel, well balanced. Not really exciting, but overall a very friendly beer. Better than expected (coming from a Carlsberg beer factory).
