UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Hazy brown-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing. Aroma of spices and malt. Medium body with flavors of ginger, cinnamon and malt. The finish is sweet with a cinnamon and malt aftertaste. Decent overall. Reddish brown color with as all,off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, other spices, caramel, and some darker fruits. Draught at Capone’s (end of the keg): Aroma of malt, caramel, and maple syrup, but no spices. Poured a muddy brown in color with no head. Opaque. Not sparkling. Very cloudy and full of tons of particles, likely because it was the end of the keg. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, maple syrup, slight cinnamon, slight allspice, and slight spice. Medium body. Thin, then lightly dry texture. Soft carbonation. Malt, maple syrup, spice, and cinnamon finish is medium sweet.

Tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy brownish/red amber with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of cinnamon, some nutmeg, nuts, caramel. Flavor of the cinnamon and nutmeg. Spiced pretty nicely. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a reddish brown with a thin white. Immediate aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, and ginger. Pours a light ruby with a thin tan head, aroma is malty and lightly spiced...muddled. flavor is fairly spicy...notable nutmeg and cinnamon...slight sweetness from the maple. Pours out a brownish-reddish color with a creamy head. Aroma is of caramel, sweet sugary notes, light spices. I didn't care for the spices in this red. Maybe because I was expecting a red a got something else skewed the rating but I poured this one out.
