Draft at pro pig restaurant. Pours dark brown with a khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Nice nutty and caramel notes on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Fairly good. Beerdedone (3460) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Draft at brewery. Pours dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and a touch of chocolate.Flavor of caramel, coffee, chocolate, roasted grains and had some nuttiness. koleminer20 (4091) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 14, 2016
On draft at Prohibition Pig. The pour is a darker brown with a lot of ruby shining through. There is a light tan ring of head that lasts. The aroma is very light. It’s got a nice caramel and chocolate malt and a hint of roast to it. It’s mostly sweet malts which isn’t crazy, but it’s decent. The flavor is more of a milk chocolate bit to it with a dirty roast water addition. It’s itndresting, but not great by any means. The mouth feel is light and watery with a thin light carbonation and a lingeringly watery thin malt finish. It’s good, but it’s just too light in all aspects. Half pint at Pro Pig. punkska101 (2166) - Chambly, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 15, 2016
The appearance was basically a dark brown color with a slim finger’s worth of off white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Lingering lacing slides into the beer.
The smell started off with some sweet and roasty smooth coffee and cocoa flavors. Subtle nuttiness slides in underneath.
The taste was mainly the same with a dry smooth connotation on the aftertaste and giving off a sweet sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Brown ale that I would have again.
On that on premises A: nutty, chocolate, lightly roasty App: clear dark brown small beige head. T/p: med body with light bitter finish. Soft carbonation. O: good sessionable brown. Enjoyed the nuttiness.

On tap at Prohibition Pig, Waterbury, VT. Dark, cola brown. Halo of off white head. Nose has dark malts. Light roast. An earthy, cola thing going on. Taste is dryish, with some stickiness on the lips. Fairly thin bodied. Finishes much the way it starts. Ok. yngwie (17261) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 2, 2015
On tap at Prohibition Pig Brewery, Waterbury. It’s a very dark brown beer, topped by a minimal sized beige head. Some curtains. Roasted malts, coffee grit notes and some dark dried fruits in the aroma. The flavor has both roasted malts bitterness and hoppy bitterness, with roasted malts and coffee dominating. Some prunes in the back, and a touch of dark chocolate that is more evident in the end. Medium body, smooth on the palate, and with a nice carbonation level. A tasteful and sort of quenching brown ale. 150610 Mvalence (55) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2015

Draught at the pig, very dark in color almost opaque. Malty rich smell, with brown sugar and caramel. A little bitter for the style. Rich malty, flavor taste of caramelized sugar. That is a bit overwhelmed by the bitterness. ben4321 (6769) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 4, 2015
Draft at the brewery, 7/4/15
It is brown on color, murky with a slight orange hue. Roasted malt aroma, nutty and toast notes. Mid sweet flavor. Nice roast. Smooth feel.
