Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Proof Brewing Company. Brilliant dark orange pour, white sticky head. Aroma is earthy with some orange marmalade accents. Flavor is minty, with a hint of nuttiness, some nectarine sweetness with some sweet watermelon notes in the back end. Thick enough mouthfeel. DialSquare (5123) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 10, 2012
Hop Infused Hoppy Amber... were is the un-infused unhoppy amber? Didn’t see that one in the lineup. Already getting confused here boys. Anyway, always happy to sample a Larry Original. Orange pour with a bubbly off-white and all kinds of soapy stick. Aroma is either muted, or my allergies are kicking up -- light citrus in there somewhere. Tastes are caramel, apricot, floral and marzipan (which I looked up on google and then stole from rbrazell’s rating). Medium, slightly medicinal texture with a tinge of carbonation. Toasty vibe overall. Pretty good, but I’m looking forward to trying the Larry Original ipa. jbruner (5124) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - AUG 8, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2012 Blend of the pseudo-randall dry-hopped and regular. Pours a dark copper on tap with thin tan head and moderate lacing. Aroma of sweet toffee malts and hops. Taste is superb, follows taste but hops get earthy, with a great balance and smooth mouth. Wow, awesome! rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - AUG 8, 2012
Draft at brew pub. Clear amber pour with a tab head that laces a little bit. Aroma of caramel malt, apricots, orange peels and floral hops. Medium bodied with good carbonation and notes of more apricot, marzipan, caramel malt and dank hops. Slightly sweet ending. Pretty tasty.
