COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

From bottle. Pours a dark golden colour with an excellent head atop. Potent pine aroma, Apple’s and a touch of lemon too. Prominent hoppy flavor as you’d expect, not too sweet though more of a malty/caramel flavor. Lingering aftertaste and not excessively carbonated tick my box.

Metalchopz (3416) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 12, 2017
Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a creamy off-white head that has good retention and great thick lacing. Grassy hop nose with some blending yeast and mild caramel malts in the back. The taste is grassier with the yeast, again shifting things from an IPA to almost, a Belgian IPA. Smooth mouthfeel with a little dryness in the finish. Different, but decent overall.

16-ounce can from LCBO in Toronto pours slightly hazy orange-gold with small soap-bubble white head and some lacing. Aroma: malt vinegar. Flavor: honey, some citrus, grapefruit, malt vinegar. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied. I bought three cans and all were sour like this. Something must have gone wrong in the shipping and storage process because I can’t believe this brewery would intend to brew what I tasted.

Pours a small amount of frothy head that leaves thick lacing. Has a golden amber colour. Yeasty, malty and hop aromas. Citrus hop flavours are apparent, mostly sweet and bready malts. Citrus comes in the finish. Bitterness at the forefront. The malts/hops are well balanced though. Has a tingling astringent mouthfeel. Full bodied as well. Odd ipa imo, probably from the choice of hops in the mix.

Really good IPA. Maybe not the best IPA as it feels like there is more to give in hoppiness and bitterness. Although as good an IPA as anything else I have tried.

Johnsense (1685) - - APR 29, 2017
Burnt orange pour, good sized head, lacing. Caramel and pine resin primarily in the aroma, maybe a tad... Soapy? Pine and caramel up front, fairly sweet. Oily mouthfeel.

Burnt orange pour with a big fluffy off-white cap. Pretty and promising start but my hopes fade a bit when I take a whiff. Caramel/burnt sugar, pine, bubblegum, soap and orange rind. Taste is less pleasant than the nose. Sugary malt with an acrid bitterness that lingers somewhat unpleasantly, like some long ago drunken hook up with a friend who isn't that hot anyway and now whenever you see each other there's this weird awkwardness that hangs over both of you, like you've both seen things you shouldn't have seen and now you can never look at each other the same again, and it doesn't really ruin the friendship but it definitely changes things and now you make excuses to avoid each other and even though it's something you'd been curious about for a long time, now you sort of wish the whole thing hadn't happened, sorry Sandy. So yeah, thats what this beer is. In a nutshell. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cannette LCBO. Jaune paille, mousse blanche. Un peu de malt caramel, présence de houblon résineux et un peu agrumes. Correct.

473 ml can. Hazy orange colour, creamy white head. Sweetish malty aroma with citrus fruits and notes of resin. The flavour is malty, with sweetish bready notes, grapefruit, and a moderately bitter finish. Quite nice.

can. pours hazy medium dark golden with a small off-white cap offering some retention and lacing. citrusy lemongrass, harsh pine, toasted caramel maltiness, some peaches, resin, woodsy piney alcohol, clean yeast though. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; assertive but not unbalanced spicy-citrusy-piney finish. tamed shy hops, oldschool as well. nah.

3.7
Gluepot (646) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2016
A well laced white head on a golden body. The nose features honey, citrus and sweet malt. A really solid middle of the road IPA. The hops are engaging without being overpowering, featuring some lemon, melon and other tropical elements. Chewy biscuit malt and that touch of honey round it out.
