COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

Thanks to JoeMcphee - my notes are a bit limited on this, but I need all the Canada ratings I can get - aroma of skunky european hoppiness, with this malt and floral notes - the flavor is quite gentle and subdued, with notes of honey and wildflower - a kind of stale hop flavor (I noted "fuggles," but perhaps not) - buttery in the finish - meh.

On tap in Lunenburg. Appearance: clear, amber with excellent clarity and a very fine, durable head. Lots of lacing. Hoppy aroma with sweet malts. Flavor: Hops dominate; bready malt base. Earthy and faintly herbal. Medium bitterness for style. Mouthfeel: near medium carbonation and body. Overall: OK; not my favorite hop mix.

Bright golden, clear, white head with lacing. Bright, happy hops in the nose. Fruity and inviting. Soft, nice mouthfeel. Sweet malt body with hops kissing every sip--a fine balance. Good stuff.

Tap @ Henry’s House & 650ml bottle from Bishops Cellar. Muddy light brown, good head. Like hop aroma. Resin boiled sweet flavour. Bitter hoppy aftertaste. Reasonable IPA. Bottle better than tap.

0.65 l bottle. Copper color with long lasting head. Sweetish, flowery, lemony and fruity aroma with notes of blackcurrant. Malty, bittersweet, honeyish, flowery-fruity and perfumed flavor. Nice soft carbonation. Excellent high quality IPA.

Growler provided by Olivier_MTL and shared with him, MartinT and tiggmtl. Almost no head lies atop the clear still copper body....the nose is faintly citric-hoppy but mostly juicy apple-caramel sweetness....clean, sweet/bitter balance in the mouth, touches of honey and plenty of spicy hops throughout, a bit of vanilla for fun....moderate carbonation, quite pleasant.

3/4" head on gold beer. Smells right, spruce. Light body. Nice malty beer with juicy hop flavour. The juiciness reminds me of Scarlet’s Fire without the intensity. Enjoyable ESB, perhaps not an IPA.

great sticky lacing, and fluffy white head. Aroma of resinous, piney, citric hops, and a little malt. Pretty one sided here. hints of orange, and the flavor is quite a bit more balanced, the malt makes a distinct appearance. the finish is very bitter, and really clings to the back of my throat. A nice IPA.
