So, number 900, I think I spent 2 week in the 800’s! San Francisco and Doug’s Christmas parry will do that to you. Might as well make it with a strong Canadian Beer needing its 10th rating as well. Bottle at Doug’s Christmas 2005, courtesy of our east coast friends again (thanks guys). Dark yellow. Small White head. Strong citrus grapefruit aroma - pleasant. Medium mouthfeel. Strong grapefruit hops taste - some malt in there as well - not too bad. Very short finish. A solid IPA right on style, well done Propeller. glennmastrange (2896) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 27, 2008
Bottle. Moderate notes of straw and nutty for the malts, moderate hop notes of perfume, pine and a little orange, light leather and soap for the yeast, and white wine and cherry in the background. Head is small, white and creamy with good lacing and is moslty diminishing. Color is clear amber. Flavor is lightly sweet and moderately acidic to start, and finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, oily and has a soft, almost flat carbonation. A good IPAwith some non-IPA characteristics. I remember this beer beer being better on draught, so I’ll have to re-rate it next time I’m at the local pub. rejtable (2808) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 12, 2011
Nice big hoppy beer. My only issue is that I’m not getting any balance in it. Just hops. Wrong carbonation and nice dry finish. radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2007
Orange-copper in colour, quickly dissipating off-white coloured head, no lacing. The aroma is of floral hops, light grapefruit, some caramel sweetness. The flavour is of light lemon and grapefruit, peppery, floral, moderate sweetness, a bit on the chemically side, grassy. Moderatly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes peppery, bitter and lingering. This isn’t all that bad, the only downfall is that it is just a bit simple.

light gold color small whtie head. Smells of passion fruit & light sweet citrus w/ a carmel back. Palte is only avg. Flavor is a sweet light malt hitns of tropical fruits no real bitterness. Reminded me of a weak try at exponential hoppiness.

341 mL bottle. Copper-orange with a quickly diminishing head. Hops are used well for aroma, but the beer could use a little more hop flavour and bitterness. It’s a nice beer, but it just doesn’t stand up to some of the big boys. Very drinkable, though, and a useful beer for introducing others to the style. patricks110 (2515) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 27, 2010
A solid IPA. Piney and citrusy aroma. Slight hops aroma as well. Dark amber gold colour with finger of white head. Taste is sweet citrus and pine. Little bit of hops. Very nice and very drinkable. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - JUN 8, 2007
22oz bottle via trade with porterhouse! - Thanks Kevin - Pours amber with a solid offwhite head that fades back to a film but leaves nice lace. Aromas of pine, and slight caramel malts. Flavor is caramel, pine, some fruity notes, and even a bit of toffee, and butterscotch. Good balance with a slight bitter finish. Pretty solid IPA here. Not bad.. Draft in Halifax. Hazy orange body, huge off-white head. The aroma is misty with berries, the taste full and grapefruit with a long smooth finish. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2008 From bottle. Rich fruity aroma, slight hoppy feel. Clear golden appearance with a thin frothy head. Rich fruity flavour, fresh feel. Tangy finish.
I have to say the more I drink this IPA the more I like it. Its not really near my favourite, but its good. More flavoursome than the pale ale for sure.
