COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

Slightly cloudy copper pour with tan head. Heavy nose of resinous hops and roasted malts, with some earthiness. Nice hop bitterness, again, lots of piney flavours, and well balanced subtle sweetness. Nice bitter finish.

It is a decent good beer but just didn’t have that extra bit of taste I get from other IPA’s. Little bit of a disappointment.

Bottle from the brewery shop.
Pours a crystal clear deep straw color with a huge tightly bubbled white head that leaves a huge a mount of stickies on the glass. Carmel, earth, and pine in the aroma. The flavor is caramel and earth again with a touch of resin and a hint of alcohol. Sweet maltiness with just a touch of hop flavor and bitterness. Medium body and a moderate level of carbonation. English style maybe, but really tame for an ipa, or too much crystal malt to let the hops shine through. I could drink this there’s nothing wrong with it but it has a 90’s old school feel to it.

On tap - dark gold with a medium head and lacing. Nice dry hop profile. Decent brewski!

Pours hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is citrus fruits with grassy notes. Good citrus fruit flavour with decent bitter sweet balance. Really enjoyable.

Cannette LCBO. Jaune paille, mousse blanche. Un peu de malt caramel, présence de houblon résineux et un peu agrumes. Correct.

Pours a small amount of frothy head that leaves thick lacing. Has a golden amber colour. Yeasty, malty and hop aromas. Citrus hop flavours are apparent, mostly sweet and bready malts. Citrus comes in the finish. Bitterness at the forefront. The malts/hops are well balanced though. Has a tingling astringent mouthfeel. Full bodied as well. Odd ipa imo, probably from the choice of hops in the mix.

Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a creamy off-white head that has good retention and great thick lacing. Grassy hop nose with some blending yeast and mild caramel malts in the back. The taste is grassier with the yeast, again shifting things from an IPA to almost, a Belgian IPA. Smooth mouthfeel with a little dryness in the finish. Different, but decent overall.

Strong IPA, my first one from this brewery, taken at LCBO. Strong taste, lack a bit of smoothness, a bit too bitter/hoppy.
