Bottle at ’December at DougShoemaker’s 2005’ -- courtesy of OKBeer & jerc. Pours a clear golden-orange with a small white head. Fresh citrus hops aroma and flavour along with some caramel malt. Medium bodied. Nice, tasty, well balanced IPA. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 14, 2005
Sample at DougShoemaker’s 2005 December gathering - bottle courtesy of jerc & OKBeer via mr_kimchee. Clear amber with a tiny white head. Great aroma - fresh, fruity, herbal hops, really nice. Flavour has the expected strong hop character, but a good malt balance to keep things in line. Another solid beer from this great little brewery - and thanks to my brother-in-law in Halifax, I’ve got a bottle to drink & enjoy all by myself! tagz (337) - Alabama, USA - AUG 1, 2007
22 oz bottle. rich orange, gold with foamy white head (some lacing). aroma of oats and grass. flavor is malt, bitter hop, slight citrus tart, some pine. bitter is dominant but is well balanced and leaves room for subtle grass and citrus notes to come through. this is a great ipa. stands more on the dry, bitter hop than the floral and it works well. tight carb - nice palate. its nice to taste an ipa with a solid malt backbone and not overwhelmingly floral. the 6.5 seals the deal. solid beer for sure. rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 23, 2007
(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Somewhat hazy golden color, white head. Hoppy, grassy aroma, but also with a quite clear malty profile. Hoppy, grassy and metalic flavor. Good. Svesse (8982) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2007
(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Pale amber colour with brief white head. Fruity nose with notes of dried apricots, rubbery hops, grapefruit and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, pineapple and loads of citrussy hops in the finish. Hops are more evident at the back of the tongue than in the nose. Very nice and hoppy beer.

[1899-20081213] 1pt6floz bottle. Grainy hops aroma has a hint of citrus and wood. Clear, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head and thick lacing. Heavy grainy hops flavour has some bitter citrus pips. Medium-full body. Nice and drinkable. Grwido (57) - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2010

Aroma: The nose has some fruity hops to it and some malty notes as well
Appearance: It pours a hazed golden-orange color with a small white head and lace
Flavor: The has a pretty nice hop flavor, some citrus, and some light sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a clean, easy drinking feel, and a dry finish
This was probably the best thing that I had at Maxwell Plum’s. It isn’t an amazing IPA or anything, but it is a more than solid example of the style. Nice stuff.
(Growler) Pours a slightly hazy medium copper with a short-lived two finger head diminishing to a thin skim and heavy lacing. Nose is floral and herbal hops, biscuity malt, tropical fruit. Taste is sweet malt and mild floral hops. Medium bodied and chewy, with moderate carbonation and a bitter finish.
This is a decently balanced brew, with good hop presence and a solid malt backbone. Nothing stellar, but a solid brew. BrewGoblin (632) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - AUG 20, 2014
Really digging this IPA and it’s big pine and resin blast, both in the nose and the tongue-o. It’s a curiously light orangey-yellow with a thin ivory noggin. I really enjoy the bold flavour of this ol’ gal and could happily have a light sesh on her. A nice chewy and lightly greasy mouthfeel make this a wonderful chomper of an IPA.
