COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

Canmoore (496) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2016
Pours a clear honey colour, with a creamy head and good lacing. Aroma has notes of citrus, pine, and biscuits. Tasting notes include citrus, resin, more biscuits, and a nice bitter finish. Very well made IPA!

Gluepot (718) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2016
A well laced white head on a golden body. The nose features honey, citrus and sweet malt. A really solid middle of the road IPA. The hops are engaging without being overpowering, featuring some lemon, melon and other tropical elements. Chewy biscuit malt and that touch of honey round it out.

Draft @ brewery. Golden orange body, moderate white head. Mild resiny aroma, touch of maly and green hops. Bitterness is sufficient but not quite enough for the hardcore hophead. Quaffable, grassy notes with muted resin and a grapefruity puckering bitterness in the finish. Average to medium palate. (3+/4) Very nice beer. I look forward to seeing this one evolve over different batches. Picked up a few bottles to bring home.

Oakes (18849) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 15, 2006
Bright golden-bronze colour. Light and clean with a good dose of English hops in the nose. Woody, leafy hop character with light baguette notes and background fruitiness (kiwi, pear). Not really a classic IPA but it is a pretty good beer.

Displays a deep orange amber in the glass...frothy 2 finger white cap with good retention and lacing. Aromas of sweet bread and citrus. Medium bodied decent malt spine, bright citrusy character, slick mouth feel. Up front a rush of sweet crystal malts which are quickly balanced off with ample grapefruit and pine tastes from some 60 min. boil warrior and dry hopped amarillos ( great hop blend)....finish is wet and pleasantly bittering with a bready/metallic aftertaste. A good solid craft IPA that sits somewhere between the milder session IPAs and the exterme hop bombs....goot hoppy character rich malts and decent drinkability.

3/4" head on gold beer. Smells right, spruce. Light body. Nice malty beer with juicy hop flavour. The juiciness reminds me of Scarlet’s Fire without the intensity. Enjoyable ESB, perhaps not an IPA.

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2008 From bottle. Rich fruity aroma, slight hoppy feel. Clear golden appearance with a thin frothy head. Rich fruity flavour, fresh feel. Tangy finish. I have to say the more I drink this IPA the more I like it. Its not really near my favourite, but its good. More flavoursome than the pale ale for sure.

bomber shared with jsprime. his bottle. pours slightly hazed orange with a moderate slightly off white head. aroma of pale malt, citrus hops and a touch of cara malt. the flavour is the same. i feel like ive had this beer 1000’s of times before. very typical ipa. good but nothing special.

great sticky lacing, and fluffy white head. Aroma of resinous, piney, citric hops, and a little malt. Pretty one sided here. hints of orange, and the flavor is quite a bit more balanced, the malt makes a distinct appearance. the finish is very bitter, and really clings to the back of my throat. A nice IPA.
