light gold color small whtie head. Smells of passion fruit & light sweet citrus w/ a carmel back. Palte is only avg. Flavor is a sweet light malt hitns of tropical fruits no real bitterness. Reminded me of a weak try at exponential hoppiness. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 17, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 20, 2006 Any first impressions?porterhouse (1580) - Boothbay, Maine, USA - JUN 13, 2007
-A veil of head remains over the clear tan-orange.
-A wooden, sandy, resinous hop perfume (Simcoe?) subtly seduces the nostrils.
-Caramel maltiness and citrusy, floral hoppiness coalesce smoothly.
-Mouthfeel and carbonation are a little lazy, but they do their job of carrying the restrained flavors.
What if you dig deeper?
-Some butterscotch appears in the nose, but not too agressively.
-A frank hop bitterness showers the finale.
-Peaches and citrus pulp ease the quaffing.
-Halfway between British and American IPA, this remains drinkable and friendly all the way through.
Bottle; produced the 2nd week of March (2006 I presume).
(650 ml bottle (produced in week 1, May ’07) from the brewery) Nice, a little light in just about every way...Pours light slightly amberish gold with three fingers of pillowy white head. Sweetish aroma of light toffee, pine and flowers. Mouthfeel smooth, feels a bit light. Lots of foamy rings and sheets of lacing. Flavor is good but on the mild (and probably filtered) side - light malt sweetness overlain by medium bitterness with pine and flowery, very lightly fruity hops. Slight metallic taste detected a couple of times. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 28, 2007

Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy hops with some hints of caramel malts. Flavour is hops, slightly sugary and grassy. Sligthly acidic citrus in aftertaste.
Bottle at "Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival 2007". Clear amber - white head. Grassy, piney, caramel, light sweetness, citric, "Lawn". Malty/dry/bitter finish. EastCoaster (122) - USA - AUG 14, 2009
Nice Rich Golden Color, pours a good thick head that is slow to dissipate. predominant malty flavor with a pronounced floral bitterness that comes through in the finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. pintbypint (3641) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 6, 2010
341ml brown bottle. Golden with a bit of haze. Small but creamy and lasting white cap that leaves just a touch of lacing. Aroma has sweet orange, caramel and a touch of sharper citrus. Caramel malt background, orange/citrusy middle. Finishes with grapefruit, moderate bitterness hangs around. Aftertaste is a bit grassy and grapefruity. Medium body with average carbonation. Decent, rounded IPA. Scubaguy (230) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 9, 2011
This pours a dark golden color with a small soapy white head, it also a few small spots of lacing.
On the nose I am getting a little citrus notes and a little carmel
In the flavor category, I can say it is some what off for an IPA. It has some big malt upfront. I am picking up some carmel, toffee notes. It has some grapefruit and hints of pine. I also get some warmth from the alcohol.
It finishes with a long lingering bitterness and a burning sensation. I had been hearing such positive things from these guys. I felt it was a let down. I felt the longer I drank this the less I wanted it. worldbeertaste (1805) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2011
Medium Orange copper with a thin lasting bubbling white head. Smell of malt, hop, yeast, flowery grass. Medium oily body with a mild carbonation. Light sweet start with a lasting bitter dry acid sour finish. Grass and citrus taste.
