COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

Clear deep golden color with frothy off-white head. Aroma is grainy with some generic earthy hops. Taste is bitter, earthy and resiny, light to medium bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body with medium carbonation. Plain, simple, quite basic IPA.

Decent foamy head and soft fogginess in a yellow body. Strong hops aroma of no particular discernation, meaning not too complex or exciting. Flavour is sour citrus and lots of hops but more on the bitter end. Crisp finish with good oiliness. Not my kind of ipa, needs more flair and finesse to stand out.

Fast gone, off-white head, very faintly hazy orange-ochre beer. Cheesy hops, bit oxydized, rosewater, exotic fruit. Bitterish, bitter herbs/weeds, unripe berries and ditto citrus. Old green fruit, herbal tea concoction, nettles - but nice. Retronasal lime peel. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Quite good! Txs to Stef! 6/4/7/3/14

Strong IPA, my first one from this brewery, taken at LCBO. Strong taste, lack a bit of smoothness, a bit too bitter/hoppy.

Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a creamy off-white head that has good retention and great thick lacing. Grassy hop nose with some blending yeast and mild caramel malts in the back. The taste is grassier with the yeast, again shifting things from an IPA to almost, a Belgian IPA. Smooth mouthfeel with a little dryness in the finish. Different, but decent overall.

16-ounce can from LCBO in Toronto pours slightly hazy orange-gold with small soap-bubble white head and some lacing. Aroma: malt vinegar. Flavor: honey, some citrus, grapefruit, malt vinegar. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied. I bought three cans and all were sour like this. Something must have gone wrong in the shipping and storage process because I can’t believe this brewery would intend to brew what I tasted.

Pours a small amount of frothy head that leaves thick lacing. Has a golden amber colour. Yeasty, malty and hop aromas. Citrus hop flavours are apparent, mostly sweet and bready malts. Citrus comes in the finish. Bitterness at the forefront. The malts/hops are well balanced though. Has a tingling astringent mouthfeel. Full bodied as well. Odd ipa imo, probably from the choice of hops in the mix.

Really good IPA. Maybe not the best IPA as it feels like there is more to give in hoppiness and bitterness. Although as good an IPA as anything else I have tried.
