COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

This IPA poured a light amber colour with a quick living, off white head. to the nose there are scents of citrus, dough and white bread. First sip was very hoppy with flavours of grassy hops and a little citrus. Very hoppy IPA

Aroma is orange candy. Orange and pine on the tongue with bready malts and more sweetness. Bitter sweetness. And yet it is such a happy beer.

650ml bottle from NSLC, Baddeck NS. A slightly hazy pale amber pour with a ring of white head; woody aroma with obvious alcohol; resinous piney taste; sharply bitter with grapefruit and alcohol to finish. Very unbalanced.

Sampled from the tap at Maxwells Plum. Pours a clear gold with a white head throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has sweet citrus and grass with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a nice sweet citrus with light grain and a bit of hay backing.

portwood (217) - Markham, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 26, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2016 Smell: Bready, muted hops, bit skunky. Taste: Bitter, grapefruit w/sour note. Finish: Bitter, citrus rind, woody resin, very dry. (tasted 03/10/16 from a bottle that may have been stale - 3/4/4/3/8 total 2.2) Re-taste from can: fresher hops without the skunky smell or sour note. Fruity (orange & melon), less dry than earlier.

chinchill (4440) - South Carolina, USA - MAY 27, 2016
On tap in Lunenburg. Appearance: clear, amber with excellent clarity and a very fine, durable head. Lots of lacing. Hoppy aroma with sweet malts. Flavor: Hops dominate; bready malt base. Earthy and faintly herbal. Medium bitterness for style. Mouthfeel: near medium carbonation and body. Overall: OK; not my favorite hop mix.

Golden colour and strong citrus and hop aroma. Light head, not to foamy. Stupendous beer on a hot day when in an ice chilled glass.
