COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tiefschwarz.

Pours dark brown/black with a tan smear. A little fruity. Full bodied. Flavor is dark fruit/prune/plum with ever increasing peat.

Bottle. Black, almost no head. Aroma and taste: coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, red berries and a splash of hops. Long lasting aftertaste. Nice one.

Ritzn (679) - Bavaria, GERMANY - NOV 12, 2016
Black with little brown head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, cherry pips, some earthy (forest-y) aroma as well, cedar wood. Taste is surprisingly sweet (amarena sweetness) with some wood and roast bitterness being more present later. Very low carbonation, long finish of roast and wood. Oily mouthfeel, not that perfectly balanced, (early sweetness vs almost aggressive wood and roast later). Still well done.

August 2016 - Bottle share on level 42, with thanks to Dai Mawr. As ’Propeller Nachtflug’, 9.1%. Opaque black with a foamy brown head, full lacing. Aroma is cocoa powder, red apple. Body is light, tingly carbonation, foamy. Taste is thin malts, alcohol, cocoa, molasses. Quite thin and harsh. Bottom end of the style really, I’m afraid. (3.0)

Blueshawk (451) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - SEP 17, 2016

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Almost clear dark brown beer, thin tan head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dark chocolate.Tangy dark fruits - edging toward sourish. Soft finish.A bit tangy for me, but fine.

0,33l from bottle at Ottakringer Braukulturwochen bought at Ottakringer Shop. BB 04/2018. black colour, small coffee colored head. smells of licorice, bit oxidized, some dark fruits, peppery, ok but a but oldish smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes quite oxidized, peppery, some licorice, hints of chocolate, light alcohol, bit earthy. finishes lightly roasty with notes of oxidation, light alcohol, licorice and spices. ok, tastes rather old, not a big fan.
