Gravity cask at the Lamplighter, Northampton. Dark gold, nearer a shade of orange-brown. Small ring of loose white head. Smells somewhat of orange and pineapple with some floral and astringent notes. Bittersweet taste with sulphur, crystal malt and spicy hop overtones. Fairly bitter finish and aftertaste. Very soft carbonation. Medium oily body. Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Festival ’14. Gold to amber with white head. Mid bread-crust baked malts give a solid background to this which is then overlaced with a leafy, fresh hop note. Cask, Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Pale gold with a thin foam. Aromas are toasted malts with grain and some butter. Grassy with light pineapple. Flavours are cereal with dry biscuit. Peppery and leafy towards the end. Dry on the finish with underlying sweet fruit. OK.

Medium goldishj orange with a soapy thin lasting white head and clear carbonation. Smell of citrus hops and grain. Tastes of citrus hops and a biscuit bready malt. Sweet fruity peach start with a hop bitterness on the end. Failry boring. Nothing here but citrus.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Citric hop aroma with a little grain. Restrained citric taste with some biscuit. Very slight bitterness. Inoffensive, slightly watery, and hyperbolic in its nomenclature.
