Cask conditioned at Barons Bar, Southport. Black with cream head. This had just gone on and was hit by the waiting hordes, seemed to be popular. Nice, dry roasty malts filling up the background flavours with yes, a nutty bitter flavour to the fore. I must say, i am enjoying Mild May this year, there have been some good ones to try.

Dark beige frothy head left a cover on a very dark brown opaque, still body - Looks great!
Chocolate, roast malt, coffee & demerara sugar aroma.
Thin on the palate - surprisingly crisp & clean - quite pert on the tongue. Dry.
Almost sour flavours, tangy, roasted something.
What a strange one. This looked & smelled dark & sweet but was incredibly bitter & sour.
