Our very harmoniously flavored and spicy-malty Jubiläumsdunkel lights in a beautiful mix of night-dark tones, combined with a dark maroon. This very juicy and mild beer impresses with its richness and its pleasant, not too intense sweetness. Subtle toasty aromas round out each sip.

Big and fluffy light brown head over a clear red-brown beer- Very fine roasted malt aroma and taste. Balanced bitterness and tiny sweetness. Just like a dunkel should be.

Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours an auburn brown with a small, off-white head. Aroma is slightly malty, slight toast.

50cl bottle. Pours clear light orange brown colour with a huge most good lasting beige head. Aroma of mild roasted malt, caramel, bread. Taste of mild rosted sweet malt, caramel, mild nuts and bread, okay!

500ml bottle [[as Bayerisch Dunkel] Another regional gem kindly catered by Maddie - thank you very much again!]. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average to huge, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, some malt spiciness with hints of chicory in homoeopathic dosis, mild hoppy overtones with a waxy grassy touch. Taste is minimally dry dark malty, slightly nuttily, minimally toasty, subtle sweetness with a touch of malt lozenge; soft and creamy palate.

(bottle) clear deep ruby-amber colour with a frothy light-beige head. aroma of herbal hops, haystacks and some chlorine, with a hint of vanilla, cherry syrup and wax. flavour is mostly grainy roasted malts and butter, with heavy notes of toffee, some light sugar icing and treebark. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2015 Flasche („Bayerisch Dunkel“, 50 cl) von Fizzz, Regensburg. - Tiefes Kastanienbraun, klar.

Nice dunkel after some time. Pours darl coppery or dark, clear brown with beige, dark top, small one. Aroma- intense malty with dominant toasted note, no roast touch. Low to none hops aroma. Taste was medium sweet, light to min bitter, more from darker malts. Light dry finish, more than average carbonation, sour, sugary aftertaste, medium- body. Watery texture. Good start, not so well finish.

My Bottom Line:
Nuts and toffee thrive in a velvety mouthfeel, as light minerality and hops color the finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the attractive mahogany.
-Carbonation is once again a tad excessive in this tap version.
-This is as good as their Palmator Doppelbock, but it is obviously more drinkable.
-Malts are well defined throughout.

On tap at the brewery.

(Bue sur place): Une Dunkel onctueuse avec une douce torréfaction comme principal attrait. Délicieusement balancée et dangereusement buvable.
