Bottle from beer of month club from Jenny - thanks. Nose is weak cereal and nothing special. Thin body follows and head is gone quick. Not good at all. Clear, dark amber with a HUUUUGE light tan head.
Toffee, baked nut-bread scent.
Flavour is smooth, rich toffee malt, nuts, cola.
Almost a little chocolate-note.
Really wonderful.....nicely rich.

Bottle. Dry hay and toffee malt aroma. Copper with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and mildly bitter astringent hay flavor. Nice body. Very good - a solid altbier

Prost Altbier has an extremely fierce, foamy, spongy, bone-colored head, a cloudy, copper appearance, raging bubbles, powdery sediment throughout, and lacing blobs left behind. The aroma is odd- tea, lemon, walnuts, pecans, brown bread crust, and medium-roasted malt. Taste is odd, too- all of the above, with citrus, sourness, moderate hop bitterness, brown bread crust, and golden raisin. Mouthfeel is medium, and Prost Altbier finishes crisp and refreshing. Clear brown pour with minimal head and lacing. Nose is malt and faint spice. Taste is spice and banana. mouthfeel is a tad thin. Finish starts out sweet, then gets dry and malty.
