On tap at Prost poured a clear tranished copper with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of carmel, toastyed malt, light earthiness and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and crisp withj a smooth finish. Flavors of carmel, toasted malt, earthiness and light tobacco with a smooth lingering earthy finish.

Aroma is very earthy, dark malts and mild fruit. The flavor is fruit/berries, malts, earthy in the middle and a tart/slightly sweet/dry finish.

Stinging sharp carbonation. could barely pour this. the taste is mild and malty, a tad bitter on the back side. I could do with this if it wasnt so god damn carbonated. ....... actually this beer sucks.

Given to me by RoosterJack. Pours a dark amber color with an off-white head and light lacing. Nose of caramel malts and some dark fruit. Medium body. Flavor is mostly malt with a hint of hops. Sweet finish. OK.

Huge malt on the nose, sweet caramel/bread is about all. Seems over carbed.....huge tan head....waited a couple minutes to settle. Sweet malt up front. Sweet caramel, some light toffee notes. Bitterness is thin and muddy, not super balanced with sweetness. Very high carbonation. Finish is a bit dull. Average. Will give this another go, as not sure this batch was kosher.

12 oz. bottle, from the variety pack. Pours hazy brown, with a neverending foamy, off-white head. The nose is anise, oak, dank hops, and vinegar. Sweet and malty, with an awful bitterness. Medium body, sharp, and sticky. This is a pretty poor beer. Thankfully the massive foam dampens our the aromas.

Deep, dark red in color. Very clear. Malts dominate, very carbonated mouth feel. Sharp, clean finish. Great example of the style ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear red brown with small head and no lace. Notes of wheat bread, malt, and malt.

Bottle from the brewery. Malty nose, caramel, minerals, grassy, earth hops. Medium sweet, then finishes rather dry. Minerals and earth. Decent but not as good as their lagers.

Bottle from beer of month club from Jenny - thanks. Nose is weak cereal and nothing special. Thin body follows and head is gone quick. Not good at all. Strange plastic notes in there with the mild hop and malts. Won't do again. One of my least favorite of style.

Bottle: Clear, dark amber with a HUUUUGE light tan head. Toffee, baked nut-bread scent. Flavour is smooth, rich toffee malt, nuts, cola. Almost a little chocolate-note. Really wonderful.....nicely rich. The only drawback (sorta) is the giant, ridiculous head.....took about 30 separate pours into my Kolsch glass to finish the bottle.....took forever....but, I guess that let me savour it more....worth it.
