This is just a plain old pale lager. Not offensive in aroma, but not tasty either. Just eh mostly. Not sure if this is actually an original recipe or a name for their regular lager. BelgianBeerGal (4039) - Panama City, Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2008
Draught at Sierra Gold Pub. Clear, amber gold colour with a thin white film on top. Some lacing. Really light aroma, just a little sweet malt. Rather average flavour with only a hint of hops and maybe a little caramel. Not bad but unremarkable. dingonv (1) - USA - MAY 20, 2006 does not count
i find this beer particularly offensive. It is served only in PTís and other bars owned by the same corporation. I asked a bartender about and he gave me a sample in a shot glass to try, and told me he didnít expect me to finish it. i didnít. Not even a shot glass.
why they continue to brew this swill, i donít know. i donít konw what Braudog had prior to trying this, but it obviously affected his taste buds.
Even the bartenders at PTís and Sparkyís (the reno copy of PTs) donít want to serve it. the only highish marks it can get are appearance. it is clear and filtered and looks like it might be ESB like. itís not.
try it on a dare. really. Braudog (6675) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 30, 2003
Poured with an airy head. Smooth, heavily malted and soapy a bit. Lightly fruited. Just an OK crappy-style American beer for the masses; nothing of note.
