Hazy golden color. Aroma of mixed summer fruit. Taste is fruity and balanced. Easy drinking. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 25, 2008
Thickly unfiltered. Rich rocky head. Light brown colour. Rich, foresty aroma with vague citrus and fresh hop dust/resin. Firm, rich, lingering bitterness. Toasty, chewy malts underneath. Excellent IPA, with a touch of rusticity Sammy (12099) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2009
Hand bottled by brewer Greg Nash and generously given one by Jon. ALl the characteristics of a good high IBU American style IPA. Except that the taste was somewhat muted, still enjoyable: Aroma of C-hops, taste of grapefruit, decent mouthfeel, and certainly most drinkable. Nice appearance. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 3, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2009 Draft at Maxwell’s Plum in Halifax. Orangey amber body with a decent white head and lacing (3+). Mild hoppy aroma and caramel malt. (6+) Pleasant bitterness and caramel malt. Very light citrus. Average palate. More of a hoppy pale ale than an IPA, but quite quaffable. 7/3/7/3/15 - 3.5

2008-11-06. Hazy orange body with a decent off-white head and lacing. (3+) Resiny hop aroma up front, lightly yeasty fruit undertones. (7+) Pleasant hoppy bitterness throughout, moderate resin. Bitterness grows at the back, lemon, light astringency as it blends with a touch of alcohol in the finish. (7+) Smooth average plus palate. (3+) Very solid IPA. Definite step up from the previous version. Now 7.1% abv On tap at brewpub 7/4/7+/3/16
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2014 Re-rate 2014: medium golden, far less aromatics than my first experience with this beer, and really only modestly bitter. Just okay this time around.
Initial rating from 2011: On tap @ the brewpub. Attractive red-orange, medium cream cap, lovely lacing. Bracingly hoppy aroma and palate, heaps of citrus rind, pine, and passionfruit. Long bitter finish. 4.0

My Bottom Line:TaktikMTL (7733) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2008
Powerful hop resins and their leafy, wooden compatriots agreeably blend in the full caramel maltiness of this fruity and balanced IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the light amber.
-This must be fantastic on cask.
-Carbonation is soft and allows all flavors to shine.
-Hops evolve into pine territory as well.
-The fruitiness mostly recalls oranges.
-Although the hoppiness is muscular, it does appear to come mostly from high alpha English hops.

341ml bottle pours a copper color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and caramel with hints of pine. Taste is a grapefruit and pine hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation leaving a nice tingle on the palate. A well crafted brew that exceeded my expectations and was well enjoyed. JulienHuxley (5792) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 30, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Very hazy gold pour, white head. Great hoppy nose, lots of really strong citrusy hops, citrus rind, grapefruit. Taste is very bitter, a bit too much so in fact, good hop flavor but slightly acrid citrus flavor. That being said, it was a pretty delicious hop fix. Seasonal. Draught at brewpub, sampler. Cloudy, burnt sienna. Almost muddy orange-brown-red. Briskly hopped nose has lots of pine. Soft mouthfeel. A little chalky. Sweet entry, earthy middle, bitter and dry finish. The yeastiness adds nice character.
