On draught at brewpub. Hotshot Harvest, 5.6% Dark amber with tan head. Odd malty aromas. Thin mouthfeel. Dry malty flavor. Fair. TAR (2765) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JAN 30, 2012
Draught at Pumphouse: Unfiltered brick-orange. Broken but nicely sustained eggshell head. Horrendously dirty aromas of plastic, plum skin, menthol and strawberry. No trace of hops. Very yeasty and vegetal, as well. Fuzzy carbonation collapses on the palate. Amazingly dull with strawberry jam and orange rind flavors. No fresh hoppiness whatsoever, merely a touch of juiciness and oddly no pungency. Plum skin creeps in and uproots the deeper hop flavors with substantial acidity. Concludes wet, plummy and everlastingly dirty with pervasive yeast notes and some resinous hop remnants. Wow, this is pretty awful. One of the most unpleasant noses I have ever encountered, and for a "fresh hop" beer, the hops are strangely nonexistent. Undrinkable. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Draft at brewpub. Pours orange with a nice white head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. A smidge of hop flavor on the tongue. Not much bitterness. Pretty boring for an IPA. That1Guy (2236) - Colorado, USA - JAN 11, 2010
Crushed with Honkeybra at GABF. Never been crazy about Pumphouse brews and this one is no different. Subpar IPA. God some hop presense, but very weak with some nast thrown in for good measure. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 2, 2009
Orange pour with off white head. Kind of hoppy aroma with some caramel and some light spice, i guess. Aroma is sharp, carmelled flowery hops. Flavor is sharp hops to the contrast of malt backing. Pretty decent IPA but nothing all that special.

on tap-pours a foamy light tan head and cloudy copper color. Aroma is solid citrus hops, medium malt-caramel. Taste is solid citrus hops with a nice bite and bitterness, medium malt-caramel. OK carbonation.

Cloudy, dark amber. Creamy, light-tan head (nitro). Texture was very creamy / stout-like / low carbonation level (which I didn't really like to see -- or feel -- in an IPA). Great hop profile, though: flowery, grassy and bitter (rose petals). Wondered how much the nitro might've dumbed down the hop aromas. Mildly sweet malts were representing nicely. Balanced things out well. Enjoyable beer, but would've preferred it sans-nitrogen.
